That part of the story doesn't make shit for sense. Why would the drug lords contact the media at all? Even the idea of this story can't be good for business. I see absolutely no reason a drug lord would think "well fuck me may as well call CNN and tell them our coke was ALMOST poisoned, so they can let the American public know they can continue buying Columbian coke as usual"
