I didn't really get up on Z Ro until maybe a year ago. I agree he's one of the best. Never really heard a Z Ro track I didn't like

don't agree with the list of standards. There are no standards to liking music. If you feel it, you feel it. If you don't, you don't. You don't have to be black (I'm hispanic), I wasn't really raised in the "hood" (my shit is bad but not poverty stricken), I love all music not just rap, never been into county jail must less a pen, there are no gangstas on the street, just thugs, I may not have alot, but I got a roof and a computer so I'm not struggling that much, alot of people are from Texas and they hate rap and wouldn't even bother to listen to it, alot of people that listen to Ro have no clue of who or what SUC is, and every one has (will) lost loved ones at one time or another.

Anyway, point is music shouldn't have standards, music should just be. To put standards on it is to depreciate the value of it.

But thats my opinion. Take it, leave it, love it, hate it.

Damn I was bumping the Z-Ro "Z-Ro" Cd and in the first track at about 1:40 Z-ro says "Look What You Did To Me was my first CD If it went three final on that I never had a worse CD".

How could Z-Ro say that was his worst CD? IMO and I'm sure atleast 75% of the rest of the Z-Ro fans would say that's his best CD. Anyway I just been trippin off that shit. His worst CD IMO is without a doubt "Kings of the South" or "Let the Truth Be Told". "Look What You Did To Me" is probably my second or third favorite album of all time.

Z-Ro is to me....the greatest/my favorist in the South.PERIOD.......yes it is true I haven't heard EVERYONE out of the south, but from all the people i've heard he is my favorite. I have all his albums..........I do not know any rapper that can make sooooo many albums and you can bang EVERYONE OF THEM and don't fall off!! this is truely something, to me.....and ya'll can express your opinion about this statement........Z-Ro's discography is WOW....then you count mixtape, compilations, etc....it is amazing..........I really hope he doesn't retire.............and also how many people feature REGULARY female rappers on there albums?
ohh yeah any z-ro "fan"....if you haven't heard Guerilla Maab - Rise....lol no comment on ya........you absolutely HAVE to listen to that...you just have to. I recommend that to EVERYONE
-----------
Life of J.McVey and Let The Truth Be Told are two of my many favorties..NOT my number on favorite...but.........they are two of my favorites because of the fact you get the still younger, classic, real gangsta, gutta version of Ro, but it also has that mainstream appeal to it.....you get the best of both words, it just has better production....you can see how Z-Ro improves on each album.......but all in all i'm pleased with LoJM and LTTBT
.........I think Tolerance is the worst Z-Ro CD if I had to say one....
look what you did to me wasn't all that good though honestly
-----
on LWYDTM my favorites are
1. Life Story
3. Look What You Did To me
3. R U Down
4. City Of Killers
5. Lord Tell Me Why
6. Pimp On
----------
Top Favorite Southern Artists......in semi-order
1. Z-Ro (you already know)
2. Rick Ross** (I really like him, his album seem to be good because I quote Down-South "This is the first time in 10 years of reviewing CD's that Down-South.com has given an album 5 stars, pick it up.")
3. Trae (Restless, he kills is with the new album "Restless" but RAP-A-LOT records sucks at promotion...he should have saw what happened to Z-Ro)
4. Chamillionaire (Platinum Cham..forget Mike and Paul..respect them but Cham is way better)
5. Lil Boosie (check out Bad Azz Mixtape....production is nice...I guess because Pimp C is out, boosie gettin that studio time he is KILLIN IT WITH THAT ONE!!)
6. Lil Wayne (its that muhtha....hustla musik....ride with me now)
4. UGK (Bun B album was MUCHHHH better than "Pimpalation")
5. Slim Thug
6. Webbie
7. Yung Joc
8. B.G.
9. Juvenile
ya'll watch out for them V12 Boyz (Pimp C, Webbie, Lil Boosie) that is a killer combination!!!

i agree with the shit u said about z-ro but rick ross and yung joc are not top 10 material. If u think that then u dunno music. They are both gimmics. I can add 2 rappers that are better then them-T.I and The product(Scarface who is done rapping, yung malice and willie hen) And yea I cant wait for that v-12 boyz to drop.

but JP243 it is what it is.............make your list....we all differentiate in opinions and mines still remains
I forgot to put T.I. on the list...........but he will go under chamillionaire regardless
..........the list isn't based on any certain thing like in order of most lyrical, stuff like that.........its just a semi-ordered loose list of my favorites.......notice I said my favorites NOT "The Top/Best Southern Artists"
--------------------------
moving onward....I forget to say: ThaHed, MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR props goes to you for creating this thread.......takes lot of dedication to do something like this

but my top 10 list is basically what yours is but minus those 2 I listed. I just would add T.I., Young Jeezy, The Product, maybe Young Dro, basically the P$C, David Banner. As for Yung Joc he didn't even write his single for god sakes. For all we know he probably didn't write shit on his album. Rick Ross is decent but too much talk about drugs some what like Jeezy but Jeezy is an all around better rapper then Ross.
