Well Shea I will be one of the first to back you up. My wife watches this show all the time.
I am not a huge fan but when I do sit down to watch it with her and my daughter clapping along lol I would have the following to say about the contestants.
Adam Lambert - Good singer and has a great voice but is way to dang cocky and could be in a class of his own.
I agree he will appeal to little teeny bopper kids or what not like you said as well. I don’t think he is going to be the winner either.
The Johnny Cash solo he did with riffs or what not and how he changed it just sucked to me.
Just because you can sing into the mic and do the blank star with your eyes doesn’t mean you’re going to win.
Allison - Wow she got some pipes on her for only being 16 but I don’t think it’s enough to win.
Anoop- Simon saved your ass by making it a top 13 then you done fucked it up and he took back that by saying he had made a mistake.
Then you totally redeem yourself with your solo performance last week which was pretty damn amazing and unexpected if you ask me,
coming from a guy who sucked one week and the next performs great. Would I say he is the next idol?.....no.
Because you can suck one week then will the next.. Not happening.
Danny - This guy is pretty damn good. The guy came in with his partner who got eliminated then continues on as a solo performer.
On top of that he lost his wife 2 weeks prior to being on the show.
I think he deserves to be the next American idol and if he isn’t the next he sure as hell will be picked up by someone.
Kris- I didn’t like this guy much cause he was always coming out with his guitar but last week for the first time he did a solo almost R&B Ballad without it and he Kicked ass!
I would say he is my second favorite in the competition thus far.
Lil Rounds - Besides having ass as SHEA stated lol I don’t like her much, she can sing R&B but she can’t hold a note for shit in my opinion.
Matt - Matt can sing and he does it well but I haven’t watched the show enough to judge him.
Megan - Megan spends too much time stuffing her bra to make her tits look like cones and bulge out and
keeps doing this shake back and forth thing as she sings almost as if she got the chills but only its continuous almost as if
hoping you wont notice how off key she is singing and how many notes she missed. She can sing decent at times but not many.
She also has a big Amy Winehouse vibe going on to me.
Michael - Michael can sing but I have not seen much of him as well so I cannot judge.
Scott - Scott can sing but at the same time the man is blind. Now please do not take this wrong cause in no way am I here
to disrespect anyone with a disability or the blind, but I feel Scott gets a bit of special treatment because he is blind.
I mean last week Paula said she would like to see him not use the piano and Simon defended him stating,
"Leave him alone, if he wants to use it then that’s fine" You can’t tell me if that was anyone else he wouldn’t have been like
"I agree you need to leave that bloody thing alone and show us some raw talent if you have any" or something to that extend.
Don’t get me wrong Scott can sing and I think he is amazing but I just sense allot of sympathy when he is on stage. Just my thoughts.
