Ok, here's the deal....

If you ever get a jury duty letter AGAIN....DO NOTHING. Do NOT call the state and try to get out of it. and DO NOT GO TO COURT.

There is NO way for them to prove you got the summons or anything, unless you call them asking to be excused.

SO DO NOT CALL AND DO NOT GO...and YOU WILL BE FINE!

You don't have to reply to Jury Duty...

if you name is EVER is all CAPS.. then it's a corporation contacting you.
They have not power over you....

Just like your name is in all caps on credit card offers.. and bank offers...
and you just throw those away.. Jury Duty is the same thing...

But if you want to serve your country.. out of the goodness of your own will.. then you can go.

I hella went...I felt stupid and bored in that room...people of all different sorts. The judge came and gave a speech of encouragement...i wish i had my ipod, can you believe i forgot my ipod?? I couldn't. The one thing that i forgot...i started writing poetry on juicy fruit wrappers....i was unbearably bored.

Now that i know...i won't ever go again.

i only went once.. and they summoned me to go again 7 months later.. (jan. 28th) i said fuck it didnt got.. a week after that i got a notice in th email saying "jury duty is not voluntary, you must attend.. please call us to reschedule"

i took the advice posted in a thread last year and havent called/gone or anything.. never will.. jury duty can suck a dick because i aint ever going again.. waste of time, im not taking a paycut.. lock me up.. fine me.. whatever i still wont go.
