Ok, here's the deal....

If you ever get a jury duty letter AGAIN....DO NOTHING. Do NOT call the state and try to get out of it. and DO NOT GO TO COURT.

There is NO way for them to prove you got the summons or anything, unless you call them asking to be excused.

SO DO NOT CALL AND DO NOT GO...and YOU WILL BE FINE!

There was another thread just like this last week and I said the same thing :)

Trust me, it works...I've done it, and my step dad and everyone he works with does it.

tell them you moved....thats what i did
That only works once--if you still have the address of the old place you lived at. If you get a license with your new address (in Washington at least) then they will excuse you, that's what they did to me. But the moving/I go to school two hours away from that address, doesn't work more than once or twice.

Good to know. Fuck, wish I knew this. I had jury duty a few years back. I postponed it the maximum 3 times, then finally went. Thank God/Allah/Buddah/Vishnu that shit got thrown out on the first morning though.

I can cosign what IAM is saying. At 34 years of age I have simply not responded nor even even opened at least 5 requests for jury duty. I have no warrants.

End of story.

I got a letter to jury duty but i didnt go on the paper is stated if you missed your appt. just call in and see if your group was called. I called in and they said my group wasnt called so i didnt have to do that shit. Usually when they summon you there doing a jury duty selection first.
