Damn, I wasn't expecting this much love. Thanks a lot, it really makes me feel like what I did was all worthwhile. With a History degree, I am planning on teaching high school in probably the worst of school(s) in LA, wherever they need good teachers the most. But I am not gonna be a bullshit textbook teacher that teaches that everything printed in the textbook is correct and the only things you need to know in history. There's so much more that needs to be taught. And I also plan on coaching football and baseball if it is not too time-consuming.

i once told a friend where she wanted to teach, she told
in somewhere in palm springs....i told her she should teach
back at our HS..becuase the teachers there sucked.... kind of
open her eyes
nice to konw ppl are thinking about helping the worst schools.

good for you dude. i graduated in 2000. it was a lot of work, but well worth it and i graduated with high honors and a greater sense of self. now the responsibility of "making something of yourself" is on you, and it can be overwhelming at first. you'll do just fine. CONGRATS!
