deep it cost me 40 for everything a 10 gallon tank (standerd and spacious) perfect for 2 there is a chart on the net that says how many crabs is good for different sized tanks.there is a heat pad i got for 17 it's self adhesive and sticks under the tank with lil plastic pegs to elevate the tank and is for airflow so it is'nt gonna burn anything or get to hot it turns on and off by it's self and makes the sand warm.the tempereature should be at 70 i seen even at 80 between there is good.i got a rock hut for him to sleep in when it gets cold.he's in there right now and it gets cold in my room so thats good.the heaters to the left of my tank so half of the sand in there is warm the other half is cold where i put his water dish (sea sponge) and food shell and plant.

thats basicly it.

the heater the right sized tank and water dish with sea sponge are important.

for the water you soak the lil sponge and place it in the shallow water dish for him to suck and make sure it is'nt deep and filled with water so he don't drown.

i guess you can use a cut piece of a clean sponge for that they charge 2 bucks for one at the pet store.but the worker said thats important for him to drink and moisten it's gills.

oh about crawling around i let them crawl on the bed on the floor and in my hands.but if you scare or disturb them when they are comfortable they go in the shell and pinch you and it hurts!like getting a shot.

and they do like other crabs to live with that is pretty much suggested cause they are social.

but they don't reproduce in captivity.

:classic: i look at taking care of a baby pet as good luck they are cool to observe and i would'nt be happy looking at a stressed and sick pet.
