Chris Cornell used to be one of the best singers out. Just listening to Badmotorfinger, Superunknown, and even the Temple of the Dog album I'd be blown away by his vocals and I still am to this day.
Then in 1999 he put out his first solo Euphoria Morning and started singing like a pussy. He continued doing that with Audioslave and I stopped checking for his music altogether.

I noticed that with Audioslave he sung in a gruffier voice that did nothing for me. I've only heard songs here and there from his solos and none of them sounding all that appealing. I figured two of my favorite bands coming together in Audioslave would be awesome, but nope. Somehow they suck, too.
Audioslave was the shit! sold millions of albums too
Dudes older now, he became a stronger melodic singer imo.
It makes sense that most rap fans would only like his younger, harder tracks tho if anything.

^^^ Especially when more or less everyone who has posted in this thread doesn't listen to much rap anymore.
Just to make it easy, if I were to listen to a hundred hours of music these days lets say, I'd listen to maybe two hours of rap... and that's probably a high end estimate.

after a couple of years of non rap, i'm getting into it again, well of course the old stuff not the new ones, that 100% kottonmouth cd is one of the only rap albums i kept, next to only season of the siccness, i regret deleting all of them.
do not agree with you, timbland is an amazing producer but but this crossover to rock that he trying to do sounds tacky so think he is equally guilty to this embarrissing trash.
