Holy fucking shit, that show was fucking amazing. The opening band straight sucked and that's as much as I'm writing about them.
Modest Mouse played a long one hour and forty-five minute set more or less straight through. Maybe out of that like 10-15 minutes tops was a little chatting with the crowd or getting ready for the next song. They played a really good mix from almost all their albums. They played what is prob. my two favorite songs by them (Paper Thin Walls and Tiny Cities Made of Ashes - which are both of off Moon and Antartica - in other words download/buy that album RJ)
I'd just like to say that Isacc Brock is a fucking amazing frontman. He kept the same energy from start to finish. He played the guitar with his teeth at one point and the chemistry between him and Johnny Marr was awesome to see live. Johnny kicked ass although I do have to admit he looked kind out of place seeing he is in his mid 40's while the rest of the band is in their early 30's.
The venue was really cool, it was at the South Lake Union Naval Reserve right on the water. Seriously, it was in the fucking gym, which was really surreal seeing a band as big as Modest Mouse was playing there. I kept on feeling like we were waiting for a local high school band to start playing or something lol.
Anyways no one prob cares but I just felt like saying it was a fucking awesome show, it wasn't my first Modest Mouse concert and it definitely will not be my last...especially seeing that I am going to their show at the Paramount in April lol.
