Why is it everytime you talk to a fucking artist they lie to you??? why...why...why I hate that shit - anytime I go to a club and there's some guy there who raps it always goes like "You know I have several labels checking me out right now and the album is due soon. I've got an indy deal already and I'm starting up my own label soon. We got peeps in NY and LA checkin us out. You could say i'm a bit of a minor celebrity."

I hate this attitude...anytime 2 producers, beatmakers or rappers get together they just sit there and compare who has the most "label connections" and who is closest to being signed, or who has the most connections with celebrities and artists.

I hate that shit...I go to a club to find some stupid whore to take me home and blow MY SOCKS OFF - and my fucking buddy introduces me as "a producer" or "a rapper"...and then it begins "I gotta a label, I gotta album, i'm about to be signed to rocafella...blablabalbalablablablabla...

So if you throw me beats for free now I'll take care of you."

Or you can just ask someone if they ever want a connect that you'll be willing to help and they'll take the "Well I already got that connect" route but then they'll take yours anyway just for the hell of it. "My boy has a connect with Hot z95's dj, he'll get your shit submitted to the program director" true - "Oh man I already got Funk Flex playing my shit every hour but I'll think about it" lie...


It's to the point now where if anyone asks me if I rap, or if I produce, I just say no.

THEN MUTHAFUCKERS GET MAD when I step in the studio and they go do you rap? and I say no, but then I'll pull up a dat with all my shit - thinking I'm evil for lying to them...

I don't give a shit anymore, I hope I fucking die...I don't care about a record deal, I don't care about who's the best MC...I'm sick of this shit, this shit was supposed to be fun and you faggots ruined it for me..

the other day i left the studio with something that wasnt even a "pre mix". we burned it to cd using an alesis masterlink. just so i can go home with something basically. so when i got home i went to wal mart to a-b the cd. here are the top 3 questions i was asked in a 10 minute period.


1.do you rap?
answer:no

2.do you make beats?
answer:no


3.can i get a copy?
answer:no not right now but you can when the cd is released. we are a band called HERESY.


now my answer to question 1 was a lie. i do rap. answer to number 2 was i lie i do compose. my answer to number 3 was a lie and the truth. no they cant get a copy now,yes they can get a copy later from the store. HELL NO IM NOT IN A BAND CALLED HERESY (although you would think its a band when you heard the music). I AM HERESY.

why the hell do people rap if they have no talent?

one guy comes into my studio all the time - he's been trying to rap since 1997 and literally cannot hear the beat...he's either tone deaf, or has no rhythm, or is just plain deaf - but he ignores the beat and just says his verse and it's always horrible...

1) he can't get on beat no matter how hard he tries
2) he's not creative at all and constantly steals commercial lyrics verbatim or he'll rearrange it (One foot in the grave and 3 inches in-sane)
3) He got picked on in high school and nobody likes him in real life so he thinks he's going to prove them all wrong by making it big in the rap game.

4) he raps about nothing but killing and smoking, and the usual TRASH that 99% of rappers nowadays puke out like this new innovative rhyme technique is going to get him signed.
5) he thinks he's the only one in the whole world who can rap about guns and get on the radio- even though most stations won't let you get play with a reference to a gun.

what a moron...and people have been telling him for 5 years that he can't rap at all - and to top it all off he's fake he never killed anyone (which to most people is not a big deal, but I like my music reality based)

and the funny part is - there are millions of people just like him everyday.

recently I shaved (i'm white and short) and I look like a computer nerd, so when this faggot introduces me as a producer or a rapper in the club, the "thugs" (who haven't killed anyone and I have 1000000 more stripes than they EVER will) just look at me like "what a joke"

good I hope they keep rapping their whole life until they're 50 , broke and have cancer.

damn right. when i was trying to really get "heard" i approached this guy with a no limit coat on. luckily i had my "demo" (i always carried it with me) and played it for him. he did two things. he told me is was good but the mix needed work and he told me to call him. after that i went to work promoting for the guy and travelling and doing his data entry,cleaning the studio all for free. i wanted to LEARN and SOAK the game. so i didnt mind handing out TQ flyers,stickers and keychains to people. i was involved and working my way up. these cats now dont see it that way.

MORE REAL SHIT

Ever have dickheads in your studio trying to make a beat with your equipment? Here's my top 10 or top 5 (depending how far I get) of their idiotic tendencies

1) THEY WILL ALWAYS USE FUCKING STRINGS NO MATTER WHAT ...and they will always go "YEaaaaaaah that's like (name song with strings)..!!!! Lets do that!!!

2) They will ALWAYS USE SUB BASS ...you will inform them it is invisible to their puny radio shack head phones because you need a SUBWOOFER to hear SUB BASS - but they will just hear the rumble and go "YEAaaaah, that's like (name of song with sub bass)!!! YEaaaaaaaaah!!! This shit is going to be PHAAAT!!"

3) They will ONLY use 808 kick drums, along with the sub bass so that your subs will sound like a rhinoceros taking a diahrrea shit...

4) The hi hat and snare will be the most dry sounding bullshit they can find in the triton and NEVER ever panned - and no reverb is added at all.

5) They will add more strings because they don't know how to layer instruments and make recordings which sound like an actual band playing - so they will play the same notes over and over again with different string sounds.

6) The beat at this point will be 25 layers of sstrings with bass which will blow your subs (in a bad way) with absolutely nothing panned and someone in the back will go "THATS THE HOT SHIT YEAAAH - WE GONNA BLOW UP"

My boy got a copy of the "rough" version of a track i did to a dsane beat. Now people around here dig this track and it circulates with burning and what not.
This fool i knoe comes up to me when we were all kicking it and says
"Aye homie i didn't know you signed to ACE's label!"
Then i tell him
"Im not signed to any label man i'm doing it independent"
"Oh then it must not have been you"
At this point he puts in a burned cd..
the music bumps *Cuz in my eyes you suckas are all the same..*
I tell him "Yeah thats me!"
Then he says "Well we were with some hoes at Ace's pad and
he was telling everyone about the new label. The hoes were diggin your song and said you was his newest artist and that ya'll goin threw universal and that you're gonna be on BET."
At this point i just start cracking up. I have had a couple brews and had to sit down because of excessive laughter.
