Yeah technically the new owners could keep the team in town w/out a new arena, they are after all, the owners. But everybody knows they won't, so the ball is 100% in the hands of Bellevue/Renton. I'm not saying the rules of the game are fair or right, I'm just saying those are the rules and nothing is changing them anytime soon. Bottomline: no arena, no team. And the city simply isn't building one.

Sites are not the issues with either of these suburbs (both have been well-publicized). The issue is if they would have the financial might. Bellevue is probably more likely to have the $$$ but Renton is more likely to do something bold b/c it views itself as perhaps the biggest "up and comer" in King County. They just got the new Seahawks headquarters, it's growing fast (and gentrifying). They could do something.

I say 50-50 they stay-they go.

I'm not even going to respond this....

Dog...professional sports have been about money since DAY ONE....if youre gonna be a sports fan...you have to accept that its a BUSINESS....

The Key Arena is now the SMALLEST NBA venue in the NBA...THATS why they want to either EXPAND it....or build some new shit....

And you know what?Ill pay the taxes for it....yeah...i like them that damn much....its worth it...

Well...then your argument/debate should end here....if you dont like sports....why did you even post in my thread?

Im a sports lover...i luv em all...i fuckin watch BILLIARDS...this was a rant for those who LOVE the Sonics and have watched them all their lives....
You seem to think I don't KNOW...I just don't CARE. They make it seem like it's for the fans, but that's BULLSHIT, and you KNOW THAT FOR A FACT. Since you said, it's a business, they want your money, and if you don't care that that's all they care about, then that's on you to spend your money and further the capitalist shit you talk down on in other threads.

You can pay the taxes then, but you don't speak for all of Seattle. You speak for yourself. Since I don't care about it either way, I've thought about both sides, and I doubt that most people in Seattle will be willing to hook them up with anything. I could be wrong, but I'm just saying my opinion.

The title was, "I don't know about anyone else, but I like my Sonics in Seattle." So, now you know about ME. I don't think they should stay, they can KICK ROCKS. Indirectly you asked for every opinion, and I am done, I was done the last time until you came at me like I'm fucking stupid, when really I'm probably speaking for a lot more people than you think, but oh well. Your rant wasn't labeled properly, so you got people who don't like the Sonics too. Next time maybe if you only want people who LIKE the Sonics, you should make it more clear in your thread title, either that or just not mind when people give an opinion that's the opposite of your own.
