i agree but he sayin shit that aint true and doesnt make sense. he shoulda just left it at the title cuz when he tried sayin why he dont like his new style, it made him sound like an idiot IMO

at the top said im not feelin tech the way i used to and then at the bottom hes sayin hes not sure how he feels about him and that these are other ppls opinions

he says how he has party songs now, but he always had party songs.

the whole 3rd paragraph is just one big contradiction

he also says hes tryin too hard to make it big now when in this is me he says how he pretty much wants it big but he aint changin his raps for which he didnt.
yea your right about that and i'll tell you right now i dont like tech's new "image" either, he looks like all the other mainstream rappers out there now...but so fucking what as long as his heart & soul remain in his music (which it is)then it's all gravy.

If anything I think Everready is more reminiscent of the older (ie Calm Before the Storm, Anghellic) material with better recording and production.
Exactly!

Theezy.. man, i still don't get the post though.. All i'm going to say is get over the hair thing, and the chain thing. If i was Tech N9ne, i'd want to finally have some jewelery myself, At least the chain isnt screaming.

And i don't get why people say he doesnt have any "dark" shit.. "Come Gangsta" "My World" "ROOT" "The Rain". Man.. that's club shit right there aint it?

And why are people so suprised that the album has so much party shit, he's pretty much straight up telling you this in the intro before you even listen to any of it.

i'm gonna have to agree with theezy on a couple of things...tech has changed a lot, which is kind of hypocritical of him because he always quotes when (i think) quincy jones told him to always be himself...everready is better and darker than absolute power, but he did try to become more "poppy" in the past four years

PSYCHOTECH im glad u saw what i was seein on that post and i know what u mean about not likin the image but i love it personally, i think he does the same shit but with a shorter hair cut and a chain lol. he still matches head to toe usually in strange gear too so i dont think he changed his image as much as ppl think.

Tech's music hasn't changed, Tech hasn't changed, that's that....I know the dude and he is 100% the same as he's always been.

And to the dude talking bout the chain...Tech's had that for a minute now.

If anything I think Tech is getting back to his roots and shit and that pisses some of the newer fans off, cause I sure as hell haven't heard a long-time Tech fan bitch about him chaning.

hell yeah thats what im tryna say too. i dont know if hes tryin to take it back to the roots or not but it dont even matta cause he hasnt changed one bit. if he rapped about the same shit in every cd then that would suck. i dont any GOOD rapper that keeps it one way and neva changes. all that matter is the music and his music is 100% tech. i think ppl fell in love with his hair or somethin cause the dude was never that dark or wicked. he just rapped about dark things that actually happened in his life. just cause not alot of shit is dark to him anymore ppl sayin he changed. what he suppose to do make shit up. like the intro when they say they gonna treat life like a party now, what type of songs do u think are gonna come out of that state of mind

I honestly think a certain segment of Tech's fans were never so much in love with his music but his over the top imagery. You take the blatant in your face imagery out of the picutre, ie...no crazy album cover and no more red hair, and they freak out.

Still, the bottom line is...Tech's content has been damn near the same on all of the past albums. Granted there are slight differences here and there, but Tech is Tech, and he continues to make music about himself and what he is going through.

Bout To Bubble is the song I hear everyone complaining about, but it's still 100% Tech (can anyone say Planet Rock???). I just think alot of the more "wicked" fans are pissed cause Tech didn't come out the door with something really dark and shit which would have done nothing for the album's sales.

I could ramble on and on for the next hour, but the fact is most of the people complaining about Tech's "new" image or thinking that he's selling out just don't get it, simple and plain.

as long as his muisc remains original and deep i will continue to support him no matter what cuz you can't hate someone for wanting to make it big. Grown men can dress themselves so his personal image means nothing to me. I did think the red spiked hair was kinda cool thou.

Wassup all.. I been previewing the forums for a while now and thought id pop my forum cherry with a post..

To reiterate a few points.. Tech cut his hair because his hair began to start falling out which he has mentiond on quite a few interviews.. I know a lot of fans were disapointed to see the red spikes go.. hell that shit was crazy as fuck.. showed his killa clown type persona and steers away from all the cliches you see with rap, but it is not the integral part of tech's success.. just made some fans look at him and become interested in what he was bringing to the table. I know a majority of people wouldn't give him the time of day if he had no musical talent and relied on his image.

As far as "mainstream hits" are concerned.. I believe that Everready has slightly more songs of this style on it than Absolute Power but thats Tech pouring himself into the song in every track.. Drinking and Smoking and Humping and Liking It.. thats straight Tech shit! Everyone knows that Nina wants to begin making some dollars for all the shit he has had to endure to get where he is now.. bringing his style that is different which in turn hopefully makes others lift there game and do music how they feel it.

As tech has said.. this is the album that is going to bring him attention.. the one where he feels is gonna make him pop and put him in a place where he wants to be and I very much hope that this accomplishes all the goals he has set for it.. all the music on there is good enough to leave what I am hearing on the radio daily high and dry yet diverse enough to show all of tech's personalities including the darkness. If the tracks "Turn" and "Sleeping Beauty" are anything to go by and are released on Isms - The Missing Scriptures I would probably suggest that Isms would be the darker of the two albums. Sleeping Beauty is as dark as any tracks that Tech has produced.

As far as the appearance change of him wearing "poppy" clothing and wearing chains.. half of what he is wearing is Strange Music gear giving it a little advertising.. and being proud to be part of Strange Music.. wearing whatever the fuck he feels like wearing!

"The know how" posted that Tech is somewhat hypocritical and not being true to himself, I don't know where you can pull that from.. he sings about what he feels.. his feeling depressed.. thats the tone your going to find.. Tech keeps it extremely personal.. you listen to Running Out Of Time or the Rain and not see a correlation between his life and the tracks.. I mean the album is introduced around his message of enjoying life and living it to the fullest.. and your gonna hear that too..

Sorry for the long ass rant.. just peepin what Tech is allowing his fans to feel..

To touch on what the guy with the fucking annoying red font said above....

I have known Tech for a while, like some of you, and have had a chance to chill out wit da man away from music sometimes, and I think the thing that gets lost whenever somebody jumps up and complains about Tech's current "style", appearance and what not, is that the man writes his life. Shit, the opportunity is right in front of him now more than it ever has been before, so the hair being gone doesn't suprise me, Tech and I talked about the Strange music emblem chain in june of 2002, he had wanted it for a while. The man has more than he ever has, (besides his family) as far as exposure, money, and all that comes with it. I hope he keeps writing his life, because if you really go through your Tech collection and listen to it in order it is quite a story and you see all of the dimensions and where they came from. So all of you that loved him sooooooooo much when he said "fuck you I'll wear my hair the way I want to" he is saying fuck you to you right now, when you criticize the way he wears it now.
