Why?? Do you know how many bay rappers including, 40, B-Legit, Yuk, and countless others have said "crunk" in their raps?? So are you going to be salty over that too?? Or is it ok, because they're from the Bay??

I can kinda feel ya on this. Bay rappers made tracks talkin about Crunk and didn't even need to give props back to the South cuz erybody knew where that shit came from. Nobody thought they were tryin to take credit for the slang term. I think it would be the same way if I heard other rappers talkin about goin dumb and getting hyphy. They don't need to say that shit is Bay shit in their song cuz everybody already knows it.

At this point anybody using a Bay term that was from Tell Me When To Go just shows that the teminology is becoming mainstream. Aint nobody tryin to steal that shit and I hope other Bay cats stop with the whole "they biting the bay" shit and instead make it a "they showin love" type situation.

Don't forget, if we want people to buy our shit nationwide, but then we want them to not do the same shit we do, that's a double standard. Why would someone want to sing along with E-40's shit in New York if it wasn't okay for them to get hyphy without being called copy cats?

Don't get it twisted, part of me wants to punch any rapper from the south who uses the word hyphy or sports stunner shades... but if they can't live the lifestyle, they damn sure ain't gonna buy the records...

Being too exclusive about our bayness creates a glass ceiling
