Communism has never succeeded in a fair and democratic way, period. The only way communism is viable is with a government that is armed to the teeth and not afraid to pop off at the slightest hint of disobedience.
Communism works on the principle that the average man cares about the good of the whole and will only take what is necessary. While this may be great for those of us in cardboard boxes, those of us anywhere above the poverty line will suffer. Communism eliminates innovation, competition, and advancement.
A man is not motivated to come up with new ways to power cars and run machines if he is promised a slice of bread and a glass of water for his efforts. This either leads to a total work slowdown, or embezzlement and corruption, as the manager of the shoe factory who wants extra shoes takes some home for his family. The second that happens, communism is failing.
America isnt the richest country in the world for no reason. People talk about an epidemic of poverty being a viable reason for communism. America's poor have it better than poor people in any other country. It's also funny that 206 tries to compare the USA with the most infamous communist regime in history as proof that America is fucked up while supporting communism on the other hand. Communism in essence is Soviet Russia, it is Communist China, it's not Che Guevara and it's not bread and soup for all.
It is about satisfying quotas, doing just enough to get by in your job, and looking forward to nothing more thn eating a meal with your family. Communism will never be in place in America, ever. Marxist ideals are great as a theory. The problem with them is that the goodness in people's hearts is not large and neverending. People are greedy. People dont work on a need basis, especially in America. People work on a want basis.
And you can go on about 'not me bla bla this and that', but regardless of however filled with care for the common man you might be, communism works against human nature, the nature of the average person, to take more than they need, to take what they want. It's not an evil capitalist greed. It's what makes America what it is. And evil policies in government have nothing to do with the economic system. If anything, Communism promotes shooting people in the head to achieve goals.
And before you point it out, No, marxist communism doesnt promote this, communism in real life does.
