STATE DEGREE, UNIVERSITY DEGREE, PRIVATE SCHOOL, NO MATTER WHAT , A 4 -YEAR COLLEGE DEGREE? i know a lot of people in here think they real smart, and to me, u cant even begin to think your educated until u have a degree........im about 8-9 classes away after this semester to having a business degree with a concentration on management (human resources) from the school of business at Stanislaus State, which is accredited by the AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). stats show only 25-30% of people in the us have a college degree. just curious of who has one in here and where they got it from, as well as their subject of study.

ps. i got nothing but props to those who have graduated. shit aint easy to get a degree, its definitly something u earn, not pay for. for those who think its easy, your either ignorant or very smart and goal oriented if u obtained it in a breeze.

what kind of ignorant shit is that? i'm in the process of getting a degree, but i know a lot of people that are educated and never even went to college .. some are even high school dropouts. my cousin for example can debate about anything, has read 10 times more books than me and is extremely intelligent. he never got to college because he did 2 years got out and couldn't get any grants/loans and he wasn't trying to do anything he wasn't supposed to be so he just never went. they have a lot of people that just can't afford college. a degree in no way makes you smarter than anyone else.

damn, much props to those who graduated and working on graduate school, that shit is no joke......youll definitly earn the income youll be making when u graduate......at shirvan, wassup man, how u been? im trying to get into administration when im through... i actually have a plug at a state (looney) hospital in the administration. so as soon as i get my degree (in a bout a year) ill most likely start there. at 20sixxx, once again i disagree, if u are smart theres no reason why u wouldnt go to college and get a degree, fact is pay is much higher for those with one than without one. and not affording it is no longer an option, theres so much student aid out there its redicilous......so why wouldnt u ?

maybe i should rephrase what i meant........it is hard to prove how educated u are without something to back it up......its like saying im a pimp, but have no hoes to back it up......when u go to apply for a job, there not gonna ask you to debate with em, or how many books u read......there gonna wanna know u have done course work and have studied subjects appropriate to that job, as well as have the general education......its hard to prove how smart u are without any evidence...

College degree is bullshit, it's a piece of paper they place some kind of value on, all you really have to do is pay for it with lots and lots of money and some of your time. Of course there is the opportunity to learn things and come away "more intelligent", but you really don't have to, you can bullshit your way through college just as easy as high school. I know a lot of people, myself included, that bullshitted their way through high school real easy, and i know just as many people that are doing it with college too.

And there are plenty of good reasons people that are smart enough to have degrees never make it into college.

So toss that elitist "i'm better than you are cuz i have a college degree" attitude cuz it's not reflective of an educated person.

As for me, i'll have two BA's at the end of May from the University of Wisconsin in International Relations and Political Science.

lol, don't know what high school you went to, but my high school was a fuckin joke! Teachers didn't give a shit, half the students were fucked up off some type of drug and I basically slept through high school and still managed to pass some how.

I seriously didn't learn shit in high school besides how to roll a blunt, take acid, and how to sell narcotics for extra loot. The only thing benificial I suppose was the experience in socializing.

College was the same in a way. I mean, if you think about it, you're only learning a certain trade--something specific. Sure, if you're lucky you can take a few extra classes on the side, but who has the time and money for that?
