I buy about 10 new cds a month (and alot more used) The only stuff I really download is mixtapes, net exclusives, songs that the artist allowed to be downloaded and rare stuff that you can't order and chances are you won't find in the store.

BTW I picked up your album Dutch at the Silver Platters in Seattle when it dropped. I was feeling it.

Being a radio DJ, I am lucky to get a lot of cds that I would normally purchase for free. But honestly, I BUY EVERYTHING underground that shows even half a promise of being cool.

Being around other labels, i see how we act like were "too good" to buy the next man's cd.

I love the Bay and I am just now learning that I need to go back to "fan basis" and BUY my fellow artist's cds. And you know what? I haven't been disappointed in my last few buys. Jay Tee, Baby Bash, Sean MUTHAFUCKIN T, Keak, Balance - I love this Bay shit. Everyone that "claims" to be a Bay fan should be doing the same.

It's been 4hours!" I be like: "Mufuckas, I told y'all that I was record shoppin! You should already know!" They be like: "Well, we walkin up Haight and we'll come back fo ya....you big record head!" 2hours later.......I'm still thumbin through some vinyl for some future hits and they still pissed! Yep. "Artists" lacking respect for themselves, the people who consume their music and the music itself, has changed my policy on what I'm willing to buy. I used to be willing to buy anything & everything, and did even if I had no intention of ever breaking the wrapper and listening to the album, but never again. Now I only buy what I deem is worth my money at full price. Fuck a discount or a sale. If the album isn't worth it at $12-$15 to me, then it ain't worth it at $8-$10 either.

I don't give a fuck about a sob story, someones baby mama drama and past due child support payments, rent, or any of that other drag. If you don't cut it, I'm not going to reward you with a sale.

It's simple... I have to feel good about buying your shit and if I have to second guess the purchase at all, it ain't happenin' because you ain't done your job.

I used to be a nut about buyin CDs on a regular basis. Music was too fuckin tight back then... Now i'm more selective and just buy around 1-3 every 3mo or somethin. I also download/buy off buymusic.com but mainly just the cuts I like but never whole albums.

Dig that! If I got paid for every hour I spent doing the same thing, I could have retired before I was old enough to buy myself a drink.

I always buy cds, either from Mom & Pop stores or from Rasputin's. Usually I know what I'm buying when I go buy cds, but sometimes I still like to get new Bay area stuff to see what else is out there.

MAN I AINT EVEN GONNA LIE I DONT BUY NO CDS. IVE SPENT THE LAST 10 YEARS OF LIFE DROPPING HUNDREDS MAYBE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON CDS SUPPORTING LOCAL ARTISTS. I WOULD BURN A CD ANYDAY BEFORE I DROP 20 ON THAT SHIT. BUT GOOD THING I HAVENT BEEN KEEPING UP WITH ANY BAY SHIT AND I HAVENT EVEN DOWNLOADED A SONG IN AWHILE. I KIND OF LOST INTEREST IN FOLLOWING THE BAY MOVEMENT AND NOW JUST STAY STEADY BUMPING WHAT I ALREADY HAVE.

I used to buy 5-10 a month, now probably 1-2 a month. Most of the stuff coming out doesn't have much replay value so I listen to music less and less. Most of the time now I just listen to Stern, KNBR & KGO.
