i mean like actually go to the store or hit a website and purchase cd's? weather its east coast, west coast, south, mix tape , real records, r & b , rap or what ever?

just a quick little thread tryin to figure out who really supports music?

me myself, i actually hit rasputains and pick up shit every couple of weeks. i download instramentals. let me correct that, i dont download shit cause i dont have any program for that but i get shit sent to me. at anyrate just thought id breathe on yall for a second.

I usually buy a few each month. Mostly Bay, but every now and then I'll pick up something from the east or south.

I buy independant and local shit around here like at rasputins, ameoba and creative. If I want to get some mainstream rap or r&b, rock etc... i go to half.com or (dare I say it?) yeah i download allot of shit. Regardless, If I'm feeling somebodys music I'll cop it. if its a mainstream artist I'll download some tracks, if its dope then i'll go about getting it.

I always buy my shit, im a huge advocate for buying albums...if i get "download" something, its usually a single song that i cant get off the cd yet and am gonna pick up later. I love Amoeba and Rasputins, im always checkin out the used shit....i rarely buy new stuff unless i cant get it used or im trying to get sales up for that artist, like the Quinn album, the team album, federation, etc.

as someone in the industry, i always buy. i preview albums on itunes store first, then hit up bestbuy or target. if it aint up for preview on itunes, i usually have friends who already have it.

i probably buy 3-4 albums a month...hit up undadogg and rock bottom like evey other tuesday,support local shit...i burn my share of albums though,i aint goin lie...buts thats mostly mainstream shit or maybe to check out some artists that i havent heard material from but if its good enough i will buy it...but like its been said,not too many album worth the money anymore.and im not one to just go buy some random albums just cause somebody on the siccness said they were tight,and end up regretting buying them and supporting garbage music

I buy all my shit. It's like an addiction to me. Every fuckin tuesday I find myself at the record store and not really sure how I got there. And I always have to buy something. LOL. Really tho, I got something close to 2,000 cd's, 300 albums, and about 100 tapes. 90% of my cd's are west coast rap but my albums are all old blues (BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Muddy Waters etc.), classic rock (Sabbath, Zeppelin, Stones etc.), and 70's funk/R&B (Isley Brothers, Tower Of Power, Funkadelic).

i would say i buy a bout 6 or 7 cds a month and only bay area shit.....if its mainstream that sounds cool ill burn it from sumbody b/c they already platinum and wealthy, so i chose 2 support the independant game....

i buy cds when i want to support them...that basically means all bay area albums. i can't lie and say i don't download if the chance comes across.

i just bought the federation cd today to support them and show that bay area artists should be on major labels
