How many albums do you own?

Sold em. Before I really got into the whole MP3 thing, I had over 1000 CD's at any given time.
Of all the albums I own now, i have physically owned about 75% of those albums on disc. THe other 25% were DL'd and some even bought after the fact.
CD's conflict with my actual DVD collection. I have to own the DVD, as the ripped and UL versions are never as good as the actual DVD.

yeah i'm in the process of rerippin hella cd's i have..thanks to circuit city.
but i was also thinkin about tradin them into rasputin or somethin becuase after i rip them to my pc i dont touch the actual cd after that...i dont think they would take all of them, but im sure i can unload some to them.

Wait a minute...1000 GB??? I dont know dude...that sounds like a bit much. I have NEVER met anyone with over 200 GB of music...let alone 1 TB.
A TB of music is equal to something like over 250,000 (180,00-35000 depending on size/bitrate) songs...If an album holds an average of 10 songs, thats 25,000 albums. I highly doubt you own 25,000 albums.

I was the last person to switch from tape to CD...i just couldnt let them go. They were so durable...i could throw one against the wall and it would play perfectly. With a CD, if its gets too scratched, its a wrap.
I had over 1000 tapes...and had to try and to find them ALL on CD...it took me nearly 7 years to do that. There are still some tapes i NEVER found on CD.

I'd say every CD, vinyl and tape I have I like atleast more then 1/2 of the songs on any said album.
With my 150GBs I havent even listened to prob half of it though lol.
I usually will download a album and then if I like it go buy it as well and erase it off my external. I have very few albums I own that I have on my external as well. Most of my external is out of print and hard to find/obscure/limited type of stuff.

Damn!! Right now I own like... somewhere around uh'... Between 2000-2500 or more
or less cds...
And still buyin & collectin much much mucho more..............................................
...and fuck downloading; well I used to download offa Kazaa until I caught some viruses and after that occurred, that was when I totally stop downloading for good!!
Plus I only buy cds that are classics to solid/worth listening to......
Whatever is out there that's good to exciting, I tend to keep my ears open at all angles......

I used to have a shit load of CD's, but some mfkrs find it necessary to steal and so I've lost a lot of CD's due to that. I've tried rebuilding the collection I once had, but its def gonna take some time. I def learned a valuable lesson though... every CD I buy from now on is gettin' dubbed and then put back in its original case which safely sits inside my own home away from them no good stealin' mfkrs. I've spent waaay too much money into music to have it happen again. I'm re-buying a lot of shit, but for cheap... I just hit up Cheapo once or twice a month, its nice cuz I got a buddy that works there and hooks me up fatty. I don't have much on my puter cuz its my work computer, but I have tons of friends I can hit up for just about anything I'm lookin' for so its no big deal.
I own about 180 CD's. All original & till growing. I would have more but I lost about 80 in storage back in 2000 thanx to moms. I'm a CD, DVD & book fanatic. I'm hella over protective of all my CD's. I don't loan out shit. I'll burn it for u & that's it. That's a good rason why most of my shit is in mint condition. I don't download shit unless its on an SD card & play it on my Palm Pilot.
