Although he makes a really good point. Some of his "origins" can probably also be traced in other directions. Some of his reasoning was a bit biased to the point. Which is what making a point is supposed to do, but although I HAVENT RESEARCHED IT, it does seem like a bit of molding of ideas is going on. Im sure you could find some way shape or form that most or some of those origins were changed, and more appropriately fit to what we use now by europeans. But I cant really say shit since I wont take the time to do the research.

Great article it didn't mention much about Africa but people tend to forget Egypt contributed largely to societies today. they had some of the first scientists, doctor, teachers and astronomers. throughout dynasties Arab culture started to filter in through migration but Egypt was and still is an African culture. Our "Eurocentric" teachers seem to forget to ingrave that in peoples minds. They show and depict Egypt as a society separate from Africa with light skin actors in any movie or show about Egypt. Again egyptians were mostly Dark skinned Africans who migrated from Nubia and after the 9th or 10th dynasty did Arabs start trading with the Egyptians. Powerful society to study.

Anyway, great article

The article writer also forgot to mention the American influence in everyday life that affects just about any civilized culture...ever.

Toothbrush? I bet they were mass produced. Thank you Henry Ford.

Plastics used to wrap or bottle their soaps and perfumes? English invention!

Newspapers can be traced back to Rome.

This guy writes On-Line. American.

Sorry fellas. I know nothing is purely Eurocentric but to try and deny the fact that an overwhelming majority of life is greatly influenced by it, is retarded. Eurocentricism, or better yet Americanism is the new Hellenism, bitches.

PS. Scraps like the lesbo in this thread make me puke.
