That Summer Jam '93 was like the first Lalapalooza of Bay rap. If this concert were to take place next weekend I'd be at the gates waiting before 11 am...lol. Years back Billy Jam sent me some old mid 80's 75 Girls Records talent search flyers (kind you staple to telephone posts) along with a bunch of other early 90's bay flyers that I hope I still have somewhere. I've got a book on the history ('76 to '83) of rap (in NYC) and it's loaded with scans of old flyers and posters...be cool to see something similar for Northern California one day. I had talks in the past with a few people about putting something similar together (history/flyers/album art/pictures) but I don't think I could make the time commitment to do it right anymore. Anybody else interested?....lol.
How dope would it have been to be at these shows
