My personal take - will take a second or 2 to type - lemme piss

ok the psychology of the matter is this - if a person is from somewhere, or is about something, has takes great pride in it - they want to be represented correctly and accurately.

E.g. I "produce" - hip hop more than anything else but I am scared to admit to anyone that I produce hip hop because all they think of is that muddy sounding sack of shit they heard on the radio with a hat which sounded like a cat running across a floor, a snare which sounded like the buddylist door closing, and a stupid little triton synth 1 bar loop over and over and over and over which doesn't even sound good... it sounds like shit - and most hip hop artists and MCs can't hear it because they are tone deaf and don't know shit about music, and don't listen to hip hop for beats anyway - they just like hooks and lyrics.

i'm rambling point is, a REAL producer is not being represented correctly - the hard work I put in is NOT represented by hip hop music in general - and I'm very very angry I have to be ashamed and lie to people and say I don't produce hip hop at all just to get respect and be taken seriously.

..

So imagine you hustle everyday from early morn until dusk, eat some mcdonalds, and hustle some more, break in houses cuz your mom is old and can't work anymore and you need to pay her rent. Have to rob good, decent, hard working people just because your children are hungry and you can't get a job which pays you enough to live...imagine you were raised where you had to fight at LEAST once a month someone who was bigger than you just to prove to the block you weren't a pussy even though you just want peace and tranquility in your life, but it's about survival - you are FORCED TO LIVE THIS LIFE AND YOU WOULD TRADE IT IN TO BE A CORPORATE LAME SNITCHING RICH WITH A PENSION, SEVERENCE PAY AND A LEGIT FUTURE - BUT YOU CAN'T ESCAPE NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY

but you take a little bit of pride in the fact, and it makes the pain go away that - this hard life you live...the difficulty is making you ride, and developing your character, and giving you the gift of maturity and superiority through tests - and passing those tests, you worked hard to stay alive through the rain - and you deserve to be recognized for your fortitude, you deserve your respect

yet someone comes to your block - knows the slang that he learned off of the radio, drives a car his parents bought him and is trying to take the respect rightfully due to you - and he did not earn it. you busted your ass for years just to stay alive - you had to fight for respect and now he is tring to get everything you have, for absolutely free...

suppose he is making a living immitating you and acting like he deserves all the respect he gets - he is running your name into the ground, disrespecting all the work you put in because "It's not about how much work you put it it's all about just how on point your punchlines are" - you had to risk going to jail for YEARS for carrying a gun in self defense, he carries an empty one for show ...

how angry would you be? life's not fair - but i believe that you should not speak for "thugs" or "gangstas" unless you are one - to represent them without knowing what they are truly about is undeniable disrespect ...

I am not a true gangsta, but I write from the perspective of a watcher, 3rd person, or I make it obvious that I telling the story from another soldier's viewpoint...I am trying to bring the message of sorrow to the world. If i do mention that I capped someone in my songs, I am either telling the story from first person of a fallen soldier, or I really capped someone and I'm telling it in code.

Now if a rapper is from some nice little suburb far away from any real ghetto and is rappin about gang bangin then that fools a bitch and he shouldn't be rappin about it

@mr.villain i have been running around with pops for a bit. he was in the hospital and im making sure that he is ok and taking his blood presure meds.

i thought i had the album finished and down to 12 songs but i HAD to go back ,retrack the beat to one, cut two songs from the list and add 2 more. i think i have the right combo/vibe now. when everything is ready i will hook it up.

@shohei the discs WILL arrive later on this week (saturday). i like the uncompressed version better.
