a couple things that maybe i can clear up:
when u r a well known label.. u get beats sent to u all day!! free beats from all kinds of cats who r trying to get out there.. its helping them by getting on a thizz project, its something they can add to their resume. these producers without a resume dont need to be charging a label like thizz!!!!!!!!!!!!!
publishishing: unless thizz signs something saying that they own all rights to the songs including publishing then the producer still gets his half of the song! another thing where some of u r confused: 95% of the songs on the thizz cds never hit the radio, tv, or anywhere.. their cd's sell well but coming from an indy label u wont be getting points off a cd! u dont need to start worrying about publishing until u land something on a major release, u r getting radio play, video play, or u get a song featured on a tv show, movie, or video game.
