what i don't get about horror core is why?
why talk about killing and eating people? how does that help society?
im not bashing it, but why do people enjoy that stuff?
ville said it good, guess its the way you grow up or raised...
i mean i like playing grand theft auto running around blowing stuff up,
but horror core talks about some twisted ish

king gordy is one of my favorites, but he has some stuff that sounds really bad
grewsum does very little horrorcore, but hes good, i like his shit

the reason i enjoy it is the power
in a song like El Diablo by King Gordy (since he came up) the yelled yet harmonic chorus by Gordy is strong as hell
the beat fits perfectly, dark with hard hitting violins and a little guitar
the song is about gordy being called the devil, as in he is misunderstood
musicly, there is more forceful lyrics and concepts with deeper thought, which some call emo
"people fear what they dont understand, they comdemn you
off to the village of the damned is where they send you
trust me im just a regular man with real issues
cant wait to put your ass on the stand, watch em convince you
its crazy i just laugh at they ass, then i continue to write the savegeous paragraphs with paper and pencil..."

Theactrics, that's all it is. It has nothing to do with how a person was raised. That's an ignorant statement, IMO. Thinking out of the box, covering different subject matter (besides... money, clothes, cars, and hoes) that's what it is. "Horrorcore" isn't the term I'd prefer. Scum, KGP, Grewsum, that's horrorcore. Mainly talking about killing and hating God. Bunch of bullshit, really.
The only group I listen to, which some could consider "horrorcore", is Twiztid.
Half of their music is deeper than 90% of rappers today, but that's just my two cents.

so u must not listen to any rap than, cuz thats what most of it is...bullshit..its all entertainment..u think rappers actually kill ppl and sell drugs? some do, most do not...point being i rather hear a fiction story in the form of rap instead of rappers braggin about killin ppl, sellin drugs and bling

Lynch was doin it way back in the season of the siccness. I guess it depends on how you define horrorcore. Some evil dimented killin yo ass type of shit is kind of what I would think of as horrorcore. Not the I got my horror movie hockey mask and a hatchet playin paint my face. That's not too impressive in my opinion. There are alot of sick fucks out there... go to youtube and watch that red head steve - at the door video. also yes music is the art of story telling through lyrics, but it also doesn't have the same effect as movies do, movies you actually view and see whats happening and know that the actors are getting paid to act in the movie and no one is actually getting hurt..
music you hear people telling a story of what they can do, but don't do...
music has no visualization like a movie does (besides music videos)
