I can understand people being upset about Bones not taking the fight against Sonnen, but I can also see why he wouldn't take it. Yeah he's the champion at the top of his game, but he has everything to lose and not much to gain.
What this shows to me is that the UFC needs to stop having so many cards (PPVs, FX, Fuel and Fox). It almost feels like there's a UFC event every other weekend, and it's causing the cards to become watered down. If they weren't spreading out all the big fights over so many cards, it would be easier to keep the show going.
Maybe after this, and UFC 149 being horrible and decimated with injuries, they'll dial down the quantity of cards, and go for more quality instead.
