I don't have a problem with Hispanic Rap in general... It's that traditional Chicano Rap that's wack... I can't listen to that shit for more than a minute.

why do people use reverb nation? Is it like myspace for music? It just streams single tracks right, can you group full album downloads off it?

With youtube, facebook, twitter... I'm not sure whats good about it

I wasn't trying to clown, I was honestly curious about that vs like soundcloud, bandcamp... I've been reluctant to sign up to any of them

IMO as independent artist it's important to sign up on every free website that is out there to promote oneself / music. Lock in your stage name in everything. It's not about blowing up, how much money we tell people we're making. Whatever the case is, dominate the internet in everything it has to offer. Some may say, "Internet Rappers" but it's a new era and like it or not the internet is where the music is at.

In answer to your question, I've found ReverbNation to be no different than the other social networks, but ReverbNation does offer a lot of things, such as offering submissions for a big project, opening for bigger acts, digital press kits etc. The only catch is they charge for those things, but it's there if you feel you need them & feel that it will help you progress a lot faster... to each his / her own. I have yet to hear of anybody getting ahead by paying for those type of services.

I dont like reverbnation, it has a clunky interface. Soundcloud and bandcamp are the way to go, but soundcloud has a cap limit on how many songs you can upload for free.

The topic of which is the better music site is way more interesting than what this thread is about.
