^^^you know i thought i was the only one who thought that.when i first heard of masta ace and his tracks i thought he WAS from the west.then i found out he was from the east coast, i was like dam homie sounds like he's from the west side.

i read alot of interviews from him back in the day and alot of people thought he was west coast because of the lowriders in the videos and the latinos (read: not puerto rican) in the videos, from what i know new york wasnt overly populated with lowriders nor mexicans, let alone cars in general (as you know most people took the subway in ny)

wasnt a big car theme in ny except for jeeps which explains the song 'jeep ass nigga'

but thats what threw alot of people off, he was inspired by cars and that was only previouisly found in west coast videos. you had your impala or whatnotin the vid.

Maaaann...I didn't start cruisin' Highland until 2001 when I first got my license, so I can't speak on how it was back in the nineties. But even back then in 2001/2002 shit was poppin'. Brings back a lot of good memories.
