technically, africans sell them to whites.
white people arent diamond mining.

as a matter of fact, dimond miners go to stores that trade diamonds for money and those stores are ran by africans. and THAT african whos store it is, after he gets the diamonds from the other african, sells it to the white people.

are they getting ripped off? sure. are africans dying to mine diamonds? sure. do white people care? no.
but what else is new?

i'll leave you with a picture:

please never say white people 'invented' diamonds again. yes, that shit hit a nerve. black people are dying because of the diamond trade. and FYI: diamonds are commonly traded for guns in africa (and who exported them guns?).

see these people? so basically...white people "inventing" diamonds, is killing off africa. THANKS!

You are 100% correct, white people inventing diamons is killing off afrikans. This does not mean it isnt true. I am talking about Debeers, please say you know what I am tlaking about before you try and give me a history lesson.

"The De Beers Group is a Johannesburg-based diamond mining and trading corporation. In the 1980's the firm had a near de facto monopoly on the world's diamond trade (80% share), however that share has been reduced to 60%[1] due to discoveries outside of De Beers' control (such as in Russia and Canada). In 1994 De Beers was charged by the United States Justice Department with antitrust violations for conspiring to fix prices for industrial diamonds. On 14 July 2004 De Beers pleaded guilty to the charges and paid a $10 million fine. The plea has enabled De Beers to trade directly in the United States diamond market after years of acting through intermediaries. In the past, De Beers was able to create an artificial scarcity of diamonds, thus keeping prices high. The modern tradition of diamonds as a part of engagement in many cultures has been largely created by De Beers through an amazingly effective advertising campaign started in 1938. The "A Diamond is Forever" campaign not only convinced the public that the only suitable gift for engagement is a diamond, but also served to limit the market in used diamonds. "

Debeers created the market for diamonds (white women), but hip hop latched onto and did not let go. They took something that nobody wanted, created a false scarcity to limit supply and increase demand, simple economics. Its not just the white people selling them that kills people in africa, its african american rappers buying them that kills people in africa, Im glad it touched a nerve, now you can see how hypocritical hip hop can be.

Thats the reason why I no longer buy nor wear bling at all......

I no longer support that shit, no more!!!

I personally think the "bling-bling" is ruining hip-hop's culture & music quality!!!

These baller rappers seem to be obsessed with money, cars, girls, luxuries, & bling, & dont care about nothin else......

How sad......
