i think i need to watch a mayweather fight that will show me why he is such a threat to marquez. i just watched marquez' 2 fights with pacquiao again and it reminded me what a beast marquez is...and why i cant see floyd being able to handle him

so mayweather supporters, suggest a fight within the last 5 years for me to watch that validates mayweather and shows why hes the better fighter than marquez

Every fight I've ever seen Mayweather in he's looked pretty good.

I'm not gonna lie, when he went into LA, on Cinco De Mayo, and wore a fuckin pancho and a fuckin sombero and beat De La Hoyas ass in 2007 that might have been one of those fights youre talkin about that you need to see.

are you serious? i saw that fight.....and no he did not look good. de la hoya looked horrible...it was embarrassing...and mayweather got a split decision. it looked like 2 pusssies fighting..boring and not at all impressive. did you see what pac did to de la hoya? thats what a truly dominant fighter should like in the ring with a run down de la hoya

i also saw the fight with hatton...better....but it was ricky hatton whos always been overrated garbage...again, did you see what pac did to him?

I dont remember the odds but De La Hoya vs. Mayweather actually was a fight. Mayweather just took almost every round. You can't even compare Pacqaio vs. De La Hoya because De La Hoya was beyond washed up when he took that fight he didn't even stand a chance.

What I found interesting is Mayweather didn't even care that he was fighting. He was just having fun the whole time.

i dont know man...i remember that bout and all of us were pretty disapointed at how lame it was. de la hoya was already washed up so i was expecting a more dominant beat down instead of the yawn fest that that fight was

yeah i remember the gatti fight too. definitely was a much more dominant floyd and i remember him just picking his punches on poor gatti (rip).....but thats what gatti was good at was taking a beatdown. i never really considered gatti that good of a fighter

Your asking people to post fights and then they mention one and youve seen it......It seems to me like you dont like mayweather.......Whatever it is, the dude is undefeated......Then saying he picked gatti apart but you never considered gatti that good of a fighter........That gatti ward trillogy was epic.......Gatti had crazy skills, he was tough, and he had alot of heart...

Then you say about paquio "thats what a truly dominant fighter does"......You probably just got done watching 24/7 and it reminded you of how cocky floyed is.............And calling 2 proffesional boxers pussies is an oxymoron.......Boxing has the most well conditioned atheletes in the world........

Cats really be acting like floyd just came up of nobodies... Floyd has got in the ring with the best when he was boxing. He's back so will see what's up

no im really not trying to just bring floyd down...i really do want to watch a good more recent fight of his, but so far ive gotten the fights ive already seen of his which are the reason i havent been too impressed by him. the corrales fight i never watched so ill watch it, but that was a while ago and i dont know if its the best presentation of what floyd willl be able to do against marquez...i just want to see a fight that will make me give floyd more credit going into the 19th

of course they are. i just mean pussies within the boxing world. comparatively with other fights, that de la hoya mayweather fight looked pretty bad is all i was saying

floyd is mostly a defensive minded boxer, not really a 'flashy' type of guy in the ring...technically he cannot be touched, and he goes in there with a game plan...i think maybe thats why you dont think he can hang with marquez, but he does the little things to win a match.

maybe if him and marquez just threw blows at each other (like rocky lol) then marquez would probably win but boxing is much more that that, as you know

I know exactly what Carl is talkin bout. But bro you gotta understand this. Mayweather is a technical boxer and he is not a power puncher. The very first mayweather fight I seen, this nigga was just jabbing the whole time. I'm like wtf. But he ended up wining the fight. You know why? Because it ain't always about the knockout or who hits the hardest, its about who has the highest score. So if this nigga can jab all night and win the match, then hey. I think mayweather is a smart ass boxer imo..

yeah i completely understand floyd is a very technical defensive boxer…the thing is though marquez will brawl if he needs to brawl, he is also a smart technical boxer himself…much more than gatti, corrales, de la hoya (in his mid 30s)….so i guess what i’d like to see, which i haven’t yet is a fight with mayweather and a fighter of equal or close caliber to marquez…and not from like 10 years ago

Dude is going to get his ass beat nuff said... To be honest from watching dudes fights and highlights all he does is try to brawl. Everybody he got in the ring with was a brawler. I give it 10 rounds K.O mayweather with the win

i can't see that happening but i guess we'll just have to wait and see. still though, if anyone has good floyd fights to recommend keep them coming

mayweather has the advantage, marquez has to go up in weight and meet bitch ass mayweather. which means mayweather is probably going to be stronger and faster. Mayweather acts like a lil girl and will never meet anyone(with talent thats poses a threat) half ways. he wants the most money and the fights at the weight that he wants. why do you think pacquio vs mayweather will never happen.
