Im happy as well with my Vizio. 47in 1080LP LCD. Only ran me 1699. My boy has a Samsung - and the picture may be a tad bit better, but he aint got the 1080 P, and his is only 37 inch, and he paid more for it than i made for mine.

VIZIO all day long. More bang for the buck

My boy has a 42" Vizio...i have a 40" Samsung. Both are 1080p...and his looks like straigt ASS next to mine...not even CLOSE.

Vizio is a bragain brand IMO. If you want TRUE color and brightness, go with a better known, top-tier brand.

anybody know what contrast ratio translates to?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contrast_ratio

"The contrast ratio is a measure of a display system, defined as the ratio of the luminosity of the brightest color (white) to that of the darkest color (black) that the system is capable of producing. A high contrast ratio is a desired aspect of any display, but with the various methods of measurement for a system or its part, remarkably different measured values can sometimes produce similar results."

"LCD" isnt a brand homie. Samsung is said to be the king of flat panel TVS by most people. Samsung, Sharp, etc are all good tvs but can be expensive. I am a fan of Vizio as I am a baller on a budget.
I see. I think I got it mixed up with LG isnt that a brand? Im not too good with this shit but I think I might cop a Hgh Def this year.

Insignia HDTV's are the best bang for your money. If your budget is $450.00, you ain't going to find any HDTV's that are even worthy. You can probably get a tiny ass 20 incher for 450.00....if you have good credit open up a Best Buy or Fry's account and check out some promotional 0% interest plans that can range any where from 6 months to years.

I got a 63 Inch Mitsu DLP. Shit is crackin in 1080i HD!!!! I love watching sports on that shit!

if youre only gonna waste 450 bucks youre wasting time and money because that shit will phase out quickly AND you wont experience any high def, you need atleast 32" to really notice the shit. 1080p or 1080i.. you wont really notice that shit unless you have a blu-ray/hd dvd player. With that said.. invest in something that'll lastyou, you dont buy a piece of shit car that you end up having to fix up every couple of months and essentially end up wasting more than 4x what you paid for when you couldve just bought a better or newer car to begin with right?
