HD - Extortion Muzik 4 Discussion

I personally think HD's performance on EM4 is better than a lot of his past releases. The subject matter stays the same which is fine with me, although I can see how some people might think it's repetitive. What I like about EM4 though is he's starting to switch up his flow more.
To me, his past projects were held back by his monotone flow and delivery. Every song had the same tone of voice and same flow, halfway thru the album I'd get bored of it. On EM4 he switches things up more by changing up his delivery, voice, and would speed up or slow down his verses every now and then. There's more variety. I also liked how EM4 has more non-Bearfaced features like the Hoodstarz and Ampichino. Nothin wrong with Bearfaced, but branching out and collaborating with new artists keeps things interesting for me too.

Hd is basically now reaching that point where his fans are so used to what he normally does that wen he switches it up people are either gonna like it or not like it because it's not what they're used to... I like em 4 but it did take about 2-3 listens before i came to a final judgement... So i can see where the dislike comes from but h is doing what we been saying he needs to do as far as branching out... His message remains the same which is what we said he should do and his production has gotten better which is what one of his biggest problems was... It's still not top notch but it is a step up from what we're used to...

i'd almost go as far as saying this album was trash and i'm an HD fan and have or have had almost every album he put out.
glad i didn't buy it. i threw it in the recycle bin after two days. i gave it about 20 listens front to back while drawing music to make sure my ears weren't deceiving me and i wasn't hating. he was amazingly repetitive throughout the entire album. "soul on ice" and "you feel me" were literal explanations of why the album was so terrible. it's almost like he saw our last thread were we complained about him repeating lines on the album and decided to repeat entire words on bars 20-60 times ala' jadakiss "why'
beats were delicate, as well
if he drops a follow up of this quality im literally gonna have to come to the conclusion that hes falling off.....but like i said im a HD listener dude has the gift to be ill as fuck but this is the first album i have to say might dont got it, at all
almost every song was skippable i think i liked 2-3 songs and one-two of them was a old song.. like 'talent in the bay' had been out before this album.....and i know im not mistaken cuz i knew the whole verse when the album dropped
id put 'have money have heart' and 'menace to society' (those are single songs, not albums) on extortion music 3 against the entire EM4 album..thats how weak it was personally to me
his voice also sounded hoarse on a few songs i dunno if he was stressin, sick, rehabing from some street funk, doing too much screaming, doing too many drugs that go in sinus cavities, dunno...it just wasnt a good album period but HD is a promising rapper..i was almost suprised it kinda sucked thats not normal for the H-man
he needs to bring the 1960's Heron flow back.
or that em1 'auuuhh!" after every line before the smack smack swagwellington
the cartoon chicken that was on the 'more than one hustle' video was cooler than said album, that chicken had its agility up, they gon have to train for track if they wanna chicken chase that shit, he was literally flying and running at the same time, might wanna chase a slower chicken, that shit was out...you can try and chase the chicken in that video but you got like 0.6 seconds
