I got a question. If i buy a blue ray player and burn movies off the net that are Blue ray format and burn them with for example Sony dvd-r's will they come out in Hi Def on my tv?
No this won't work, because of the space the movies take up. The blue ray dvds are dual layered disk and can hold like 50 gig of info or something like that. You may be able to do it if you can get some layered dvds though.

How do you replace the drive?
You would have to check for your specific pc but if your working with a laptop then flip the thing over and you will have to take some plates off. Check online to see where it is located. With a desktop its easier, you just pop the whole cover off locate your drive and swap it out for a new one.

so... I deleted Internet Explorer off of my computer (mostly because Firefox is my primary browser, I've always fucking hated IE since 94' and it gives me some pop-ups) but I still get the occasional IE pop-ups as well as a few pop-up tabs in my Firefox browser from time to time. I'm thinking there's something Ad-Aware hasn't taken care of and I don't have the intuition, time or patience to search and destroy.

any suggestions?

I don't know if anyone can help me out but I have two hard drives in my computer and I use one to boot Windows XPx64 and XP Home on the other. I store all of my movies on the second hard drive and have never had a problem but the other day the folder that the movies are in was gone. The hard drive still shows that the file is taking up space since it still have the same amount of free space. So I tried to boot onto that hard drive (Windows XP Home) and see if I could see the folders in that OS and they didn't show up. Scan disk trys to run when I start the computer but it can't finish and when I tried to boot into windows xp home again later it didn't work. Now some of the other folders on that drive just went missing and when I try to move files from one hard drive to the other it says they are write protected. I also tried to run a program called Spinrite that can resurface a hard drive in DOS and recover data. The first time I ran it I just said to recover but it didn't help so I ran it again and told it to resurface but that was this morning so I don't know if that worked or not yet. I might just have to take it to someone who specializes in data recovery but I really don't want to have to pay to get everything back.

It's the Browser Helper Objects (BHO) occasionally install maleware/spyware undetected. You might want to check to see which particular one may be doing this.

Do what ThornCity503 did....Run hijackthis and post a log. See if any "missing file" is stated after the BHO entries. If so fix them by deletion.

Looking at your log.... there is alot of spyware on your comp. You have asome missing files and no files on the entries... you might want to fix those. look closely at the BHO's too. I'd analyze your log better but Im too tired right now.

Start with fixing the missing/no files and fix them and tell us how your comp is running.

Spybot Search and Destroy! I just used it today myself. Worked like a charm.
