Rainbow Six is a much more complex, and difficult game than Gears. I personally don't like Halo because it's pretty much average in every aspect, and it's too sci fi for me.And again, Gears of War is a third person shooter, and should not even be in this conversation.

Hell, IMO, CoD is a more difficult game than Halo. It also has a much better online community, which is another huge drawback to Halo. I can't stand playing Halo online and listening to all the racist, screaming, idiotic people playing that shit.

the new online community will be all the kids from the last one... i doubt itll change. i prefer Halo2... the tempo and speed of the game is fun while there are special things to stride for in halo that keeps you comin back. There are weapons that dont exist in real life that a lot of people find fun.

i LOVE HALO... people all like halo aint shit since gears dropped but im stickin to halo... I was obsessed with the game since it dropped. Dunno why but it dragged me in.. Im scared that the new equipment is gonna affect my gameplay too much now though

I thought this game wasn't going to add anything new from halo 2. But since it has some sort of map editing program and the 4 player co-op mode, it seems decent. I might get this.

Gears will be the game that revolutionized shooting games. By saying that RS is more complex and difficult you mean that you have to press more buttons to do basic shit and die with 1 bullet grazing your toe then i'd agree.
Halo is average but it brought something different to the table with online play, gears took from that and added a better style of battle. Socom started the hype of online gaming, COD made it as simple as possible(the online aspect), halo made it fun(regardless of ignorant people online), and gears revolutionized the style of battle.

i disagree,gears didnt revolutionize anything,just made it more gory. the core gameplay is simple and has nothing that any other third person shooter hasnt offered. just cause its the first game you can chainsaw people doesnt make it "revolutionary". dont mistake a fun game for more than it is.

i guess the one thing that did revolutionize was cutting the amount of people on the battle field by 3/4...4 on 4 hasnt been done by many games...great job

who said anything about the chainsaw? Talking outta my ass? I played Rainbow Six a few times and i didn't like the gameplay, i thought it was garbage how you run around an oversized map where you MIGHT come across someone to shoot every 4 minutes. Gears revolutionized the team aspect as well as the gameplay on third person shooters. What I get from your post is this, you don't like gears because you always get chainsawed,(you're a straight amatuer if this is true) there's only 4 people so you don't have 7 other teammates to rely on, and theres not 8-16 people on the battlefied so if you do suck, the chances of you getting a kill are less.

Just by sheer number of gametypes in MP, Vegas shits all over Gears, and that's without the leveling system.

Not that anyone cares and I know theres alotta LP haters out there but this shit was cool for me.

Linkin Park is my favorite band and I went to Projekt Revolution. Scored myself a feww VIP pass into the HALO 3 tent that people had to sign up for, but i came late at night and the chick at the gate just gave me a pass... Then 3 people From LP walk in Mike Shinoda ( rapper/ Fort Minor front man/artist/producer and all that jazz), Joe Hahn (DJ, Director), and Rob Bourden (drummer). played them in Halo and busted ass.. So not only was this my first time actually playing the HALO 3 beta but it was verse 3 peeps from my favorite band and I WON... there was also about 6 more people playing
