ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police are searching for at least one person who they said shot multiple people at a business in Southeast Albuquerque. Sources said the suspect shot perhaps as many as three people in the business.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are on scene. Police have shut down the traffic light at Central Avenue at Eubank Boulevard and are manually directing traffic.

Several streets are closed nearby, so police caution everyone to avoid the area. Sandia National Laboratories and Manzano Mesa Elementary are on lockdown. There is a summer program going on at Manzano Mesa Elementary currently.

One suspect is described as a man wearing all black with black hair. He was last seen running east through a nearby mesa.

The conditions of the shooting victims are unknown at this time. Many ambulances are rushing to the scene.

This story will be updated as more details become available.

I was off today but my phone has been blowing up from my co-workers.....shits crazy

not to start a huge debate but seriously?????

you do know if usa was to tighten gun control laws it would make it hard for the general public to get a firearm.

But do you realllly think that the people who are commiting crimees are currently getting their guns legally???? GTFOH

I own a gun store. I have NEVER had a gang member come in to legally purchase a gun, not even buy a single bullet. Gun control only works for people who abide by laws. Outlaw guns and only the outlaws will have them. Think about this...if someone had a legal gun in your business, I wonder if 5 people would have been shot...glad you're ok bro...

right but they still come from gun stores legally in the first place.

@Mr Illmannered you might have never had a gangmember come in and buy a gun, prolly cuz most got felonies, but everysingle gun I ever seen on the street came from a gunstore one way or another. I'm sure a few guns you sold over the years have ended up in a criminal's hands one way or another.

I aint ever say I was for or against gun control laws here, I'm just saying that it's ridiculous for anybody to think that guns sold legally don't end up on the black market mayn.
