this game NEVER gets old. now my girlfriend is hooked. EGM also said that harmonix is going to release Guitar Hero : 80s edition. cant wait!

i cant wait for the 360 version cause it is already coming packed with close to 10 new songs and on top of of that they are going to have new songs available to download immediatly at games launch and more downloads on a regular basis.

was afraid the new tracks would be some weak leftovers but looks like they got some good shit,alice cooper,deep purple,iron maiden,etc...quality shit

where you can do multiple chords that are in sequence with only strumming the bar once,then only having to push the according fret buttons. its a real guitar technique.they were helpful in #1 but they made them 10X better in #2

they have a section on them in the advanced tutorial...check it out. you will be mad you didnt know about them sooner. there is a slight learning curve but once it becomes natural you will own solos

^^^Same here. The homie had it and I watched him play thinking that it was just alright. Picked it up when everyone was asleep and didn't put it down for 5 hours.

Now I got one of my own.

I suck bad. Did anyone link to an online tutorial in this thread?

Also, what's up with the backwards compatability? Can I play the old one using the new guitar?

either guitar works for either game

...the game has step by step tutorials.its your best bet. reading text online isnt going to help you much. once you get the basics its just all about playing until you get better

FINALLY BEAT SIX ON EXPERT MODE. FINALLY! I can now beat every damn song on expert except for Jordan. damn, can anybody here beat jordan on expert???
