damn I'm going for diaz all the way but this is a easy fight for gsp he'll do the exact same thing he's done in his last 2 fights throw a pussy jab and get out the way he ain't gonna stand and bang and he ain't gonna take diaz down that's for sure and nick is too flat footed and slow to catch gspussy. should be another boring 5 round decision.

i think you're wrong. i see wall n stall or lay n pray being the strategy. diaz will invade his space & make him fight in the stand up, & gsp doesnt want that.

I see Diaz landing more jabs than GSP on this one... Diaz may not be the biggest power puncher but hes gonna throw a gang of shots at gsp and force gsp to shoot... Im hoping for another gogoplata finish for diaz, this time its gonna count for the ufc belt... Wishful thinking i know haha

I think GSP is a different class of a fighter than Diaz, honestly. You have to look at who Diaz has fought in his last fights, compared to GSP's competition. Aside from losing sight in his eye mid-fight against Sheilds, he's been completely dominant. I don't see this as a "super fight" like it's being promoted.

I think Nick would beat everyone besides Fitch and maybe Story or Pierce though. That's really the only bummer is I'd rather see Nick fight BJ, Condit or Rory Mac for Zangiefing Nate than GSP

As much as I HATE to say it, I think it will be another boring GSP win by decision. I hope to God Diaz knocks his ass out though.

very true but diaz really is the best they got to offer him. only fighter he can fight right now that has logic to people who understand fighting is anderson silva sine they both cleaned out there divisions. i think fitch is more deserving but he grinds out fights ALL the time and when your not exciting to watch then theres no demand for you. thats why guida wont get a title shot next.

When Nick Diaz travels to the UFC on Oct 27 to face Georges St-Pierre, he will do so without the Strikeforce welterweight title.

According to UFC President Dana White, Nick Diaz is now a UFC fighter and has vacated his Strikeforce welterweight belt to get a shot at UFC champion Georges St-Pierre.

White stated that Diaz could go back to Strikeforce at some point in the future if he chose, but for now he is strictly a UFC fighter.

As for the Strikeforce welterweight belt, White said that two fighters from that organization will fight later this year to determine a new champion.

No decisions have been made at this time regarding who will fight for the belt or when that fight will take place.

At the top of the Strikeforce welterweight division right now the two names that would likely first pop to mind would be the last title contender in the weight class, Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley, and former Missouri wrestler Tyron Woodley.

There is also a pivotal welterweight match coming up in July between Evangelista ‘Cyborg’ Santos and Tarec Saffiedine that could play a role in determining one of the top contenders.

Diaz will face St-Pierre in the main event of UFC 137 on Oct 27 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas with the UFC welterweight title on the line.
