Ain't nothing wrong wit puttin the homies on. That's how u make ur label strong. When jayo reached his peek, he basically said fuck his homies. When he fell back down the ladder where was he at, crawling back to cricet after all that shit he was talkin now he need help from the niggas who had his back the most.
Mitch is doin what he supposed to do. Hustle hard and make money in the process while handling bidness. And if u look at what mitch is doin as far as the homies, they're only a few rappers and the rest is like a street team/entourage/security which is good!
You don't always have to put ur homies on because they rap. Maybe they good at other things. Say mitch sees that one of his lil homies is a hustler on the block, he gon scoop him up and put some change in his pocket and show him a better way of gettin bread without takin those risky chances. Then comes the dominoe affect.
Look at BOSSMUZIK for a prime example.
They didn't look to mitch for help or a hand out. They see how they big homie doin it and they decided to hustle hard and get they own. Ma nigga Superb said fuck it imma start ma own label and put ma lil bro on and the lil homies and get it like mitch.

agree wit all young sav said!!! Jayo is Diego. Its still people in other cities in calif who dont know who mitchy is and def not cricket and them other guys. Mitchy is more known now but he need to go network more like bullet did in his prime. Both are tight though. Also one of the problems in the rap game is niggas putting on they homies and "making" them rappers or the homies "trying" to be rappers cos they homie made it rapping. I say u should have to help the homies but hell give them a security job, driver, cook something else besides being a rapper especially if they didnt rap before u made it. Chuuch.
This is the mentality where it makes it difficult for artists to progress in the city. Why does there have to be a best...a king...? This creates seperatism (If this word exists..) This divides fans which reduce the demand for the music. If there was a more unified front Dago may get its shine...but now there is just little hot pockets of artists here and there which is easy for someone to overlook.
didnt think of it like that..and its true...ever since somebody brought up BEST in this thread (mistake number 1) everyone had to jump in with other names that had nothing to do with this thread (mistake number 2)....shit check my post a few posts back...i got caught up in the bullshit to in this thread after reading some responses...my bad...but yeah, it all boils down to your post right here..
