Green Bay Packers Freight Train May Get Derailed in NFC North Tilt with Chicago Bears
It appears nothing can slow down the juggernaut that is the Green Bay Packers but their game against the Chicago Bears on Soldier's Field Monday night
September 27th could be a bump in the road. The Green Bay Packers first two games have been relatively easy as they played the Philadelphia Eagles and the Buffalo Bills in the first two weeks.

The NFC North battle could be huge for both the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers. With both teams entering this tilt at 2-0, the issue will be the defenses and the play of the quarterbacks in this critical game. Jay Cutler has had two big games so far this season and his win over the Dallas Cowboys was huge. Aaron Rodgers was limited to only 188 yards against a solid Philadelphia Eagles defense and the Chicago Bears have been a solid front seven against Tony Romo and Matt Stafford.

Team Defense That Shuts Down Green Bay Packers or Chicago Bears Offenses Should Win

The Green Bay Packers defense does not get much pub but they are a solid unit. Clay Mathews is comparable to Brian Urlacher in the middle and Charles Woodson is one of the best pass defenders in the NFL when healthy. If there is a weakness on the Green Bay Packers defense it is the defensive line. Although it is still a solid defensive line they are still going through some growing pains and miss Johnny Jolley on the line. He is suspended indefinitely pending a drug trial.

Led by their heart and soul, linebacker Brian Urlacher, this Chicago Bears defense has returned to the cohesive unit the dominated the NFC North two years ago. With Urlacher back, linebacker Lance Briggs has returned to his level of production of a few years back. The Bears are a hard hitting defense and playing at home could add some extra juice to this NFC North rivalry game. Defensive edge goes to the Chicago Bears over the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay Packers Freight Train May Get Derailed in NFC North Tilt with Chicago Bears
Jay Cutler is still a gunslinger but he has come up huge in the first two Chicago Bears games. Cutler has an array of average receivers at his disposal and sure handed tight end in Greg Olsen. Cutler's
best weapon in the new Mike Martz offense is Matt Forte. Forte will be a huge factor in this game and will be used to keep the Green Bay Packers from shading and double teaming the receivers.

Aaron Rodgers the Green Bay Packers successor to Brett Favre, is the hands down best quarterback in the NFL at this moment. He has a tremendous upside and is the most accurate passer in the NFL. Rodgers has some of the best weapons in football to choose from but his number one back, Ryan Grant has been lost for the season.

Rodgers favorite target is number one receiver Greg Jennings deep and over the middle he can choose from the big hands of Jermichael Finley or the trustworthy Donald Driver. The passing attack edge goes to the Green Bay Packers but they will need to get the run established with Brandon Jackson.

Green Bay Packers -3 vs Chicago Bears: Pick Against the Spread & Final Word

The Green Bay Packers were released as a four point favorite over the Chicago Bears Sunday by the Las Vegas Hilton Superbook. The line quickly was bet down to the key number of three and that is where it has settled after early wise guy betting.

Plus three points at home is still a good number on the Chicago Bears but four points would have been better. The defeat of the Dallas Cowboys in their home stadium went a long way to increase the Chicago Bears clout and this game could solidify them as a favorite to make the NFL Playoffs. Take the Chicago Bears at +3 and they will win this game straight up also.

This has the potential to be a good game...I want to see Cutler in that Martz Offense...But most likely he's going to have to deal at some point in time with Clay Mathews....Mathews is off the charts rights now..

My crystal ball shows SACKS.

GB is gunna crush Cutler. Bears are gunna be all over Rodgers with his no run game/no blocking offense.

Rodgers is dead..If they wanted any chance to survive they would need someone like Cutler who can run around and dodge the over-pursuit the bears bring to every game...

Bears 13
Packers 6

Lol this ain't 1985...
lol, really though

Chicago is averaging 23 points a game and Green Bay is averaging over 30 points a game

say what you want about Cutler, but he's the number 1 rated QB in the NFL after 2 weeks, if he doesn't turn the ball over he can do big things... I think people are forgetting he put up pretty good numbers in Denver, he just had a really bad season last year

and we all know about Rodgers and that offense

this SHOULD be a fairly high scoring game

will be close game the way martz and cutler are clicking, won't be suprised by a Bears win.

Very similar teams, but packers have better recievers. packers gave up alot of sacks last year and the bears D is healthy so I want to watch what happens when they go after rodgers.
