i respectfully have to disagree with u :ab:

you dont boo like that on mullins night. totally ruined it. boo any other time. a lot of times im sure you dont agree with someone/something but you RESPECT when it's appropriate. i agree he shouldnt have spoke. but he made a good point when on the radio today he said 'if i didnt speak then some people would/could take that the wrong way too'. u cant please everybody all the damn time. if u said lacob isnt trying to make this team better you're lying to yourself.

im surprised by some of the tunnel vision some of you guys are having in regards to the ellis trade. things had to be shaken up. u act like the warriors were having success with him. i know it's a team that wins and loses, but he was here what, 7 years? defensive liability also, either him or curry take your pick

u cant judge this trade right now, simple as that. we gotta wait til next year, which unfortunately is getting way too old at this point.

we got two first round picks (ATL and SA), plus hopefully that top 7 pick (which i heard today we're negotioating w/ utah to maybe keep that no matter what)...we got a big man who D's it up and boards. u also got free agency in the offseason....this is how to get it going. i loved monta's reverse 360 spin layups too but they were not working

We still gave up our best player for two injured players. Bogut is good and I see their plan, but it's hard for the fans who do pay to go to these games because they want exciting basketball. They're not GM's and executives sitting in board room trying to formulate wins. Monta was a huge reason people go to the games. Why even spend the money?

I went to the game and I had no idea we were sitting like 4 rows (yes, nosebleeds) under his jersey being unveiled. Booing is retarded as fuck but Lacob also walked into it. It's also not Lacob's fault the Warriors have been the worst bay area franchise for 18 years. I also am not stoked on paying to see a team that is gonna tank.

the fans DID fuck up, no doubt about it. it should have been all about mullin. i aint defending it. a couple of knuckle heads booing doesn't represent the entire fan base. but you don't make decisions like that without expecting some sort of backlash from the fans. and as a warrior fan, i am truly sick and tired off 'next year'. it's fucking Always 'next year' with the dubs.

lebron made hickson look really good. he is a pretty mediocre scorer in the post, on his own. add to that missed defensive assignments/rotations, and clashes with coaches, and there it is.

The Trail Blazers made a surprise move to fortify their frontline on Wednesday, claiming power forward J.J. Hickson off waivers.

Hickson was released by the Sacramento Kings on Monday, after the sides agreed to a buyout on what was left of his $2.3 million salary this season, and it was assumed the 23 year-old was destined to clear waivers and become a free agent.

But, in a surprise move, the Blazers claimed the 6-foot-9, 242-pound Hickson, thwarting the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns, teams that were thought to be frontrunners to sign him.

"He's a good young big who can play (power forward) and some small (center)," said Mike Born, the Blazers director of NBA scouting. "He's athletic, a pretty good rebounder. If you look at what he did when he was in Cleveland, he did a pretty good job in a structured role. This is an opportunity for us to look at a pretty good young player."

The Blazers are hopeful Hickson, who will wear No. 21, will join the team Thursday. To make room on their 15-man roster, they released Mehmet Okur, a player acquired from the New Jersey Nets last week in the Gerald Wallace trade. Okur is out with a back injury and was not expected to play again this season.

In Hickson, the Blazers are adding an athletic, offensive-minded player with a knack for rebounding. He was drafted with 19th overall pick of the 2008 NBA draft by the Cavaliers and, by his second season, developed into a starter. His best season came in 2010-11, when he averaged 13.8 points and 8.7 rebounds and started 66 games.

The Cavaliers traded Hickson to Sacramento over the summer, but he failed to mesh. Injuries and a limited role decreased his season averages to 4.7 points and 5.1 rebounds.

As late as Tuesday night, the Blazers were unsure if they would place a waiver claim on Hickson. But after thinking it over, they decided Wednesday morning -- just before the 48-hour waiver window had expired -- that the opportunity was too good to pass up. The Blazers are hopeful a change of scenery and a more focused role will unearth the potential Hickson revealed during his three seasons with Cleveland.

Hickson will be a restricted free agent after the season, assuming the Blazers extend a qualifying offer, and it's possible he could be a long-term piece of the franchise moving forward. Essentially, the final 20 games of the season will serve as an audition.

"There's a chance he could be with us long term," Born said. "He's a guy we would consider keeping around."
