RT C @Churchboy619 scribe I'm told Dorell Wright wanted to be part of the trade, and he's NOT happy he wasn't

I'm not a huge fan of the trade, because I feel like maybe we could have gotten more, but I also think people are making too big of a deal about it. Don't get me wrong, I like Ellis, he's entertaining as hell to watch, and he can score, but he's way over hyped here in the Bay Area. If Ellis was as good as people make him out to be, we would have been winning with him by now.

this was obviously a move for the future, and I think in the long run it will help the team

gotta stop blaming losing on ellis....we should know by now u cant blame one player for not winning....yet people still do it
I'm not blaming Ellis, I'm just saying Ellis isn't some great All Star top tier player. People act like we traded away someone like Lebron James, Kobe, Wade, etc they way they talk about Ellis. In the NBA one player makes a HUGE difference. if Ellis was as good as people act like he is, we would be winning with him, I don't care what we have around him

the problem isn't the players imo, its the front office and the coaching staff. Also don't start to shit on ellis now that he's gone. I remember right before all star selection everyone calling monta underrated and one of the players who got robbed of an all star appearance. Also i don't think getting rid of monta was that bad, the problem is what they gave up for an overpaid injury prone bogut.

First of all, I'm not "shitting" on Ellis. I'm just saying he's overrated by a lot of fans in the Bay Area. I'm saying the same thing I was saying about Ellis when he was on our team, I don't give a fuck what everyone else said about him, this is what I'm saying. I will admit that I also over hyped Ellis in the past, but the more I've thought about it this year, hearing trade talks become more serious all year, the more In realized this team isn't gonna win shit unless they make a big trade and shake things up. For most of this season I've been saying the Dubs need to pull the trigger and trade Ellis because we're not winning with him and Curry in the back court, and we obviously need to shake things up. I feel we could have gotten something better than an injury prone center, but it is what it is. If Bogut gets healthy and stays healthy, then it was a good trade IMO. If he doesn't stay healthy... oh well... we weren't making the playoffs with the current team anyways, and we weren't going to win any time soon. Ellis was fun to watch, but the Dubs HAD to trade him

Not even juiced about winning, still can't believe it. For a glass ankle player and someone that didn't wanna be here anymore. BS!

^^^ur not the only one who wants that...i never wanted to believe it but i finally do. They will tank to keep that top 7 pick, and frankly at this point, since this trade DID happen, they should. It would be even more insulting if they didnt. Thats what this trade was. I claimed i didnt understand it, and at first i didnt, but now i do. they cleared cap space, got a good center when healthy, and a vet who might have his 6th or 7th revival. I still dont think this is the best trade but if with klay, management thought they didnt need monta and had to do anything to get that center.
