Why does every upcoming artist feel its another mans job to help them get put on, even if the case is that thats whats needed to get noticed..it aint people like Dre's fault..its the Labels...It aint Dres responsibility and Im glad he aint, sure I wish there was more west coast music in the forefront, but it seems like artists are so desperate that they need to follow a trend, and I aint hatin on the West Im thinkin in any genre or style...do you, find a new unheard producer, or artist you may meet to get shit poppin....lookin for people like dre to put ya on is just encouraging more of the same..

i don't see what's so scandalous about that quote...that's what muthafuckas have been saying for years....

the ogs support would help a lot but that's not stopping people like glasses, strong arm, crooked i from getting it cracking on their own

Its a weird twist ya know. People want Dre to co sign and help them get recognition. Maybe people that are not into hip hop are only looking for certain names.

What ever the case, People shouldnt wait on Dre and not everything Dre touches turns out to be a like Eminem or 50 Cent (poor Nocturnal).

I think Dre is at a level where he could help katz out, but these new guys (There's a ton of them) shouldn't wait for Dre to come around.

There's alot of great producers out there that make great stuff.

G-Malone isn't really on point with that statement.

Dre really blew Xzibit up on 2001 and took X's career to another level.
In 2005 Dre blew The Game the fuck up.
And now he's working with Bishop Lamont and is finishing up his album.

What's Dre supposed to do???? Put out an artist every 6 months? Or sign every new West Coast artist to Aftermath?

At the smae time G Malone got his 1.7 mil deal with Sony on his own without a Dre beat or a Snoop verse. So you gota respect Malone's hustle.

JOHNNY J >>>>>>dr. dre and your favorite west coast producer anyday.

he is the greatest westcoast producer and hiphop producer of all time. never had a wack beat. who do u think is responsible for the majority of "all eyez on me?"
ppl need to start working with johnny j more often. it's a shame when the best producers names get mentioned and they never mentioned him. if u love pac u gotta love the man that best compliments his words.... if i had the choice to make an album i'd go with johnny j straight up, and he still has heat after all these years.

check out: lil eazy "letter to my homeboys" - tell me that beat doesnt have that feeling of a pac track.

I like Glasses and all but these rappers need to stop complaining bout Dre not working with them and do it themselves. There are alot of producers and other rappers out there besides Dre for them to turn to

agreed!

I can name a few of NW producers that have great beats.

-Bosko
-Torey Ward (is he still doing stuff?)
-Funk Daddy
-Littleton
-D Sane
-Vitamin D

Dre can make some people blow up, but anyone that gets up with out Dre gotta respect that.

Johnny J aint the best damn producer..he just happened to work with one of the most popular rappers.....where are those great sounding beats now? is he still making beats? What alot o0f people fail to realize about Dre and this goes to Quik as well. There are lots of producers who can make similar beats and same level....that aint just what they are sought after for. Its what they do with the song...mixing it....You can take Two identical beats lets say by Daz cause he has cried about this ( Why aint every artist trying tow ork with him if he was really responsible...) anyways Two identical beats...have daz lay the beats and record lets say Kurupt and Nate Dogg, then mix it down. and the next night Dre do the same. I guarantee the difference would be night and day, and the bigger difference is even if it is good, Dre may scrap it, because he realizes the artists potential; and good aint good enough....but artists like Snoop...Daz will record a song and as long as the homies in the Studio like it its going on the album regardless..

man it's more than just dre out here on the westcoast. it's so many producers it's ridiculous. what g malone needs to do is just find one producer and stick wit him and his name will get out there. for example: gucci mane and zaytoven. zaytoven is incredible wit production but gucci mane cant rap. cats fuck wit gucci cause his beats are tight. but malone can rap so all he needs is one producer to credit his style and know what he wants out of production. ice cube also has tight production.

i bet you non of them are gonna be on his album? the same with Game... they keep talkin about westcoast this and that and he didn't even put Clyde or Juice on his shit. neither one of them have a legit westcoast style so i feel they shouldn't even talk about dre if they're not even doin it themselves
