I found what you guys were debating about.
It's at the end of Matthew and I totally missed it.

Jesus speaks to his disciples after resurection....

Matthew 28:18-19
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations;
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"

Peace....

PS.... There, Jesus speaks of the Holy trinity. At least indirectly....

You can't blame it all on Gizmo.
There's certain Christian denominations out there who preach lies fabricated my man.
They preach them as if it were true,
thus they confuse many people.
It happenned to me when I was a kid, I was raised a Catholic and was told that I would go to hell if I didn't go to church.
That fucked things up for me and I found myself lost from God.

It was only after I picked up the bible for myself a few months ago that I found the truth. The truth about everything....

In order to accept the truth, one must humble his ego or mentality.
Lets see if Gizmo can manage to do this, we only speak what's written in the bible....

@Cameron,

You know, I've heard allegations that God has no name.
I've heard that "Jehova" is actually a mistranslation found in the Protestant bibles.

I don't know anything about this, but I'm going to research it.

It would make sense that God has no name though.
Think about it, he is the ultimate reality. He needs no name, no introduction. Giving him a name only makes him exclusive to a certain belief, like Krishna in Hinduism and Allah in Islam.

When asked Gods name The reply? In the bible the reply was?

Avtually Jehovah was created by the jews, They refused to Call God by his true Name, They thought it was wrong.

As far as the scritue goes, is that the only one you have? I dont frown upon it but you researched it for a week. I Reseached The "Name" issue for years.
in that passage you Qouted it states that Jesus had all the Power, Who did he give it to?

Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Mat 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

And what did Peter do?

Act 2:37 Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Is there two baptizms?
Is ther only one? Does what Peter say mean that there is a Name?

Act 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Act 8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Act 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Act 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Act 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Act 19:5 When they heard [this], they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Act 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Act 19:5 When they heard [this], they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

What do those scriptures mean?

JEHOVAH IS THE CLOSEST TRANSLATION FROM THE THE FOUR CONSONANTS "YHWH" WHICH IS THE TETRAgRAMMATON WHICH IS ALSO TRANSLATED INTO YAHWEH.

AND FOR THE RECORD, THAT IS (gOD'S) PERSONAL NAME.

Gizmo,
I'll get back to you the God's name thing....

As for baptizmal, good find. I read the NIV version, cuz King James is a fucking head ache. Anyway, Peter tells his people that John's baptizmal is to wash away sin. But you must be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ in order to recieve the Holy Spirit.
The question is this now, does this mean we have to be baptized twice now? One to wash away sin and the other to recieve the Holy Spirit?

As far as I know, baptismal is only a metaphor for washing away sin in order to recieve the Holy Spirit. Meaning that baptising with water is not even necessary, all you have to do is have the will.
But I have no problem with people doing this out of tradition, it's the same thing.

That is still not the Correct name of God of the Old Testament. They do not know it cause They did not use Vowels, So it is hard to translate. Well I shouldn't say that isn't it. I should Say we cant be sure if that is it for the fact that there are no Vowels to make it .

YHWH can be yihweh, yohwih, yahweh, yuhwuh... and so on. Get what i am saying?

MIggIDY,

YOU STRESSED, "so it's safe to say YHWH is God's true name?".

THOSE ARE JUST THE FOUR CONSONANTS IN HEBREW THAT WERE TRANSLATED FROM THE TETRAgRAMMATON. THE CLOSEST ENgLISH EQUIVALENT IS JEHOVAH, EVEN THOUgH SOME ARgUE THAT IT IS NOT PRECISE BECAUSE THE MENONITES RENDERED THAT TRANSLATION. SOME WILL SAY THAT YAHWEH IS MORE PRECISE BECAUSE IT IS THE THE PRONUNCIATION OF THE FOUR CONSONANTS.

gIZMO,
SO WHAT NAME DO YOU USE TO REFER TO OUR CREATOR? CAUSE IF YOU ASK ME, THE TITLE "gOD" IS MORE ERRONEOUS THAN JEHOVAH.

True, God seems more like it.
Again, I'm gonna have to go back to the idea that God has no name or preffers not to reveal it.
Was he just throwing us off when he gave us a name you can't even pronounce?

^NO, (gOD) USED THAT NAME THRU-OUT THE BIBLE BUT THE SUPERSTITIOUS JEWS TOOK IT OUT AND REPLACED IT WITH "LORD" OR "gOD". THAT'S WHY IT WAS EASY FOR PRIESTS AND OTHAS TO BRINg A FALSE DOCTRINE OF THE TRINITY THRU-OUT THE AgES BECAUSE (gOD'S) PERSONAL NAME WAS OMMITTED FROM BIBLE TRANSLATIONS

AND YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER THE FACT THAT THE OLD TESTAMENT WAS WRITTEN IN HEBREW AND (gOD) REVEALED HIS NAME TO HIS FOLLOWERS IN THAT LANgUAgE. SO ALL IN ALL IT'S A QUESTION OF TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION.

BUT TO SAY (gOD) DOESN'T HAVE A NAME WOULD BE LUDICROUS. THAT JUST ADD TO THE MYSTICISM THAT THE CLERgY WANTED MUTHA-FUKAS TO BELIEVE BAK IN THE DAY CAUSE MOST( JUST LIKE TODAY) DIDN'T READ THE SCRIPTURES AND MEDITATED OVER THE PASSAgE(S), THUS WERE EASILY MANIPULATED.
