Gilroy (BCN) - Two teenage boys were shot, possibly with a shotgun, in a Gilroy shopping center parking lot today, the Gilroy Police Department reported.
Police responded to a shopping center at 6900 Chestnut St. around 4:20 p.m. on a report of a man down, Gilroy police Sgt. Kurt Svardal said.
The first two officers to respond found the two boys in the parking lot.
The victims were transported to a hospital.
Their current condition was not immediately available.
The suspect vehicle is described as a 1980s tan or brown Honda Accord-type vehicle, according to Svardal.
The occupants are described as two to four Hispanic males between the ages of 16 and 24.
Svardal said the shooting appears to be gang-related.
Hollister police reported that three people have been shot with shotguns in two separate incidents on the city's Central Avenue in the last six days.
The suspect vehicle in the most recent Hollister shotgun shooting, which happened Thursday, was described as white car, possibly a Honda, according to police.
Police have not said whether the shootings are related.

Hollister (BCN) - A 19-year-old Hollister man was shot in the abdomen late Thursday evening while walking in the 1600 block of Central Avenue in Hollister, according to a police statement.
Officers were called to the Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital at 10:23 p.m. after being notified that a shooting victim was receiving medical care there.
Witnesses reported seeing a white car, possibly a Honda, stopped in the 1600 block of Central Avenue as the victim was walking in the area, according to the statement.
Occupants of the car reportedly asked the victim "What do you claim?", a territorial question asked by gang members to ascertain gang affiliation, before shooting the victim in the abdomen, police said.
The case is being investigated as a gang-related shooting.
This is the second shooting involving a shotgun on Central Avenue in six days, according to police.
