Agglutination = a feature where the subject object and verb are all combined in one word...most common in the Turkish language, e.g., ingilisiniz "you speak English".
Assimilation is the progress by which letters blend together. For example, "ad" means "to"...advocate, "speak to/for" in other words, in support of".......on the other hand, we have things like "assign", rather than "adsign".....Assimilation has occurred.
