Canelo is a pussy. Cotto is not even a 154 lb fighter yet hes fighting at middleweight. Obviously just using the belts he has as leverage for good pay days at this point but Canelo sure has no problem fighting Cotto and its cuz hes so small for the division

GGG's Coach: Canelo Has No Leg To Stand On With 155! - Boxing News

And this is what Abel Sanchez says about GGG fighting Ward, remember?:

"Ward has to be reasonable and negotiate something that will work, understanding that GGG does not need him. GGG is doing quite well right now and selling out arenas on both coasts. Having Ward on GGG's ledger does not matter one way or the other to us."

So, does Canelo need GGG? According to Sanchez, no. Because at the end of the day, it's all business people. And don't forget GGG was gonna move up for Froch and JCC Jr awhile back so he's just using this whole unification so "boxing purists" can still root for his ass.

Not sure why people struggle to understand the difference. Golovkin has never fought in Ward's division. He doesn't have a belt there let alone the lineal title, nor is Ward Golovkin's mandatory. Canelo would be all of those things if he beats Cotto.

I know the difference. I get it. That's why I stated what I said at the end. Is Canelo really trying to campaign for the 160 title? No. He says it on his interviews. Cotto use the belt for leverage knowing his career is coming to an end and Cotto vs Canelo is a fight that the fans would rather see than Cotto vs GGG. Canelo is the bigger star, so a belt on Cotto's waist gives him advantages on the bargaining table. Now, GGG was gonna fight JCC Jr at 168, Froch at 168, and Ward at 165. Isn't that viewed as campaigning?

Then where is he campaigning battle? He's not at 154 so where the fuck does that leave him? Anything over 154 is middleweight. He can say he's not a middleweight all he wants but he admits he's not fighting at 154 so who is he kidding? If Golovkin wasn't at middleweight none of this would be an issue.

Is what viewed as campaigning? Golovkin flirted with the idea of a Chavez/Froch fight 1-2 years ago out of desperation since he quite literally couldn't get a fight worth a damn in his own division, neither fight would have been a title fight and neither happened obviously and Golovkin eventually got a title unification fight in Lemieux, which is what he's been trying to do for years. He's now in even a better position to get what he wants at middleweight.

Hopefully Cotto wins because Canelo's bitchass is already squirming. Don't get me wrong, Cotto can be difficult to deal with too, but at least with him you know where you stand. Both guys are obviously looking the other way when it comes to GGG.

Sure Cotto hasnt really wanted to fight GGG and for good reason. He hasnt avoided any other fighter in any lower weight in his whole career. Canelo is a natural middleweight which is why this situation is comedy
