What are you talking about? In this thread what was I saying? That's it's a 50/50 fight. That Canelo is peaking right now and Golovkin at 35 could have possibly lost a step. I wasn't saying GGG would go in their and whoop his ass, I was expecting a very even fight. I wasn't expecting a one sided fight like what we got, I was surprised in fact that Golovkin [should have] won so clearly.
Canelo and Golovkin have good fucking chin. Isn't that obvious? Golovkin walked through Canelo's biggest punches while Canelo seemed much more bothered by Golovkin's shots imo (which is why he would retreat so frequently and trying to keep GGG off).
He landed a ton of those "slow ass jabs" so what does that say about Canelo then?
We all knew going into it Canelo was the faster fighter, that was the one thing Canelo had an advantage on.
Why do you think Canelo gassed? Why was he gassed for the entire second half? Because Golovkin FORCED him to fight at a pace that Canelo didn't want, i.e Ring Generalship.
Again with the "cutting off the ring". He didn't have yo cutt off the ring when Canelo would only backpedal straight into the ropes. Golovkin was on him like glue for most of the fight. He couldn't do anything to slow Golovkin down.
Again I don't know what fight 206 was watching. So you’re telling me that a guy walking forward and eating 42% of Canelo power punches was controlling the fight?? So GGG is a ring general but he only landed 30% of his slow weak ass weak jab, wow he sure schooled Canelo missing 70% of his jabs and landing no power punches. When did boxing start giving you rounds for blocking the clean power shots with your face?? Again what fight was you people watching?
1. Canelo landed all the clean hard punches in fight.
2. Canelo made GGG miss 70% of his punches.
3. Canelo landed 42% of his power punches.
4. Canelo was hurting GGG to the body all through the fight and GGG never hurt Canelo.
5. So now walking forward and eating 42% of power punches while missing 70% of your punches = Ring generalship
6. Why is no one talking about how GGG was clearly bigger then Canelo in the ring but but GGG is a small middleweight and Jacobs was 180lb, but yet GGG was about 175lb-180lb fight night.
7. I thought clean effective punching won boxing matches? And Canelo was doing all the clean hard punching, but then again GGG did hit the AIR 70% of the time so I guess you gave him credit for that.
What’s funny is by Saturday a lot of people and HBO will change their mind about the fight anyway after the replay. Lampley and his cheerleading of GGG getting hit with power shots all fight acting like taking a good punch somehow scores you points in boxing matches nowadays too funny. The rematch will be an easier fight for Canelo less moving around the ring, more body work, and more inside fighting for Canelo.
