nobody has ever, or will ever drop 3 back to back classics like PAc did there. Not only did he do it, but I would say the fashion he recorded those albums with is also unmatched, and never will be matched....in hip-hop.....

The closest anyone has come, was Eminem.....and DMX had shit on lock in the late 90s, early 2000s with his first 3 albums. Those, to me, are all classic. The next closest is probably Lil Wayne with the Carter series......surprised no one has mentioned e-40....

^What kinda new booty answer is that? I know this is all based on opinion, but really? Also Slim Shady LP and The Eminem Show were not classics they were all right at best.

Carter I, Carter II, Carter III, Slim Shady and Eminem Show were all classic albums. Hands down.

I feel like people are just throwing shit out there for the sake of it without really putting much thought in it. I mean everyone has their favorite artists and shit, but really at least try to be objective. I mean First Degree? Seriously you would put him on the level as 2pac? South Bound really? Really?

And I know this site is filled with Tech N9ne groupies hard core and all and I like him as a rapper, but 2pac level - honestly?

I expected the M&M and Nas. I like the Ice Cube, G Rap, & ll cool j attempts. I take those serious.
Having an objective view when it comes to personal preference is near non-existent.

I have never been a big 2Pac fan, so I can rightfully say he fits the criteria you are asking. That's why I originally said that there can never be "the best" of ANYTHING, because all of us have different tastes and ideas as to what is best.

@Masked Lemon......born again wasnt on the level that his first 2 were....thats why I didnt mention him.....BUT you could count life after death as 2 albums, and then ready to die and he would be tied with 2pac....

Tech N9ne may not hold the crown for best 3 in a row. But NOBODY IMO has put out this many quality albums back to to back to back ect. Tech may not be your fav rapper, hell you might even hate his music, but if you were to sit down and listen to all these albums start to finish, if you truly appreciate rapping skills you couldnt say this dude doesnt have MAD talent.

Oh yea, The Ghetto's Trying to Kill Me, 99 Ways to Die, & Ice Cream Man. OR 99 Ways to Die, Ice Cream Man, & Ghetto D.

Those are all real good albums, but not at the level of the 2pac albums you've listed, and I think you're comparing all albums listed to those 2pac albums. Master P's album can't compare to 2pac's albums, lyricalwise, but they're still real good albums for what they are.

Carter 1 was cool Carter 2 classic and Carter 3 was cool but didn't fit in with the series. He should've structured it like the others with the intro/middle/outro beats bein the same.

And those 3 Pac albums are classic in my opinion as well. Can't really think of anybody matching that but dead on but close i'd say

Jay-Z

Reasonable Doubt

In My Lifetime Vol 1

Hard Knock Life Vol 2

Vol 2 is a cool album to me but not classic. If he would've dropped The Black Album and Blueprint right after Reasonable Doubt, then we'd be talkin ha
