The fact that Gears of War 3 is available today is great enough news as it is (read our review here) but Cliff Bleszinski also confirmed story-related DLC today. While speaking to the Telegraph, Bleszinski talked about story-related DLC, although he was quick to say that the expansion would not include any members of the Delta Team. He compared the future add-on to DLC packs like “The Ballad of Gay Tony,” where it is a side story that happens to take place in that universe.
“We have some DLC that’s coming up. We’ve confirmed we’ll be doing campaign DLC,” Bleszinski said. He then made it clear that our favorite characters won’t be making an appearance. “One thing I can tell you is that you’re not going to see Marcus or Dom or Cole in it. I believe that DLC should be unique and cool, like Lost and the Damned, Gay Tony, Mad Moxie’s Underdome Riot. All those kind of things. DLC’s the place where you play and have fun. So that’s one thing that’s an indication of where things may be going in the future.”

Total time for the campaign for those who beat it? I already know Kirby beat it in 2 hours on the hardest difficulty because "Thats how he rolls." lol. I'm just messin with you fam, but on the real, how long did it take you guys to beat it? I'm gonna take mine back tommorow and go snag it from KMART, I'll be able to start playing thursday night and will have thursday to tuesday to play.
I would probably say about 10-12 hours. I played on normal difficulty and was trying to find all the collectibles and COG tags. I found 20 of 42 collectibles, and six or seven COG tags out of 15 I believe.
EDIT: One of my complaints (only one so far I think) is that all the ammo clips, crates and cases don't refill weapons other than the basic starting weapons (Lancer, Retro Lancer, Gnasher, Sawed-off and the sidearm). I don't think there was any explanation given why it changed, so it kind of irks me.
Maybe its their way of getting people to use more of the weapons. In Gears 1/2, once I got the sniper rifle, I NEVER dropped it.
