I can see both sides of the downtown argument...when i was single i was in the gaslamp every weekend cuz that's where you could get at some fine ass broads who are usually lookin to hook up but i can see why fools dont wanna pay the crazy ass cover or the expensive ass drinks to hear some shitty music(at this point unless its my house i'm hearing some shitty music)

my cousin was a bodyguard at sting, so been there a few times. despite cutting the line, getting in for free, and not having to pay for drinks...shit was wacktacular. when he began working at flux i passed on checking it out. he said it was full of tj narco kids...but i hear its an asian spot now. either way those clubs make me feel angry and depressed inside
i like tivolis after going to the padres games though. probably the only spot in dt that i can handle
one bar i kind liked going to was the turf club in golden hill. despite all the jabronies cooking their own steaks i liked the feel of the place and would be able to just sit at the bar and tune them all out behind me.
