thats fucking ridiculous... Americans are constantly complaining about gas prices when the U.S. gets the CHEAPEST gas in world next to the OPEC countries. Go anywhere else, europe gas is about $8-$9 US dollars per gallon same with anywhere... no one else complains but Americans who refuse to ride public transport or buy hybrid and economy cars.... yeah the government taxes it, yeah some of it has to do with katrina but none the less you get the cheapest gas in the world(besides OPEC nations) so shut the fuck up and be happy like most people would. the end.

Here is my take on it.

In a month, due to gas prices raises, you will probabaly spend about $50 MAX than if the gas prices were what they used to be.

If you can't mark up your hustle and make an extra $50 a month to nullify this, then you have more problems than rising gas prices.

I agree that prices are higher in other places, but you should keep in mind that most areas in the US have very shitty transportation systems. Most of europe on the other hand actually has a much better system.

Also, you're statement about the US having the cheapest gas besides the OPEC countries is false.

OPEC consists of Algeria, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.

According to CNN:

AUSTRALIA $2.63
CAMBODIA $2.57
TAIWAN $2.47
GEORGIA $2.31
LAOS $1.66
THAILAND $1.60
CHINA $1.54
CHINA $1.48
RUSSIA $1.45
KAZAKHSTAN $1.36
KAZAKHSTAN $1.35
TAJIKISTAN $1.32
AZERBAIJAN $1.15

And that's only a partial list, CNN didnt offer all countries.

The highest gas prices are in Europe (mostly northern europe) and that's due to very high gas taxes (fuel tax) that goes straight to the government. The have these high taxes to try to force reduced traffic, pollution, more fuel efficient cars, etc. If it wasn’t for the tax implemented by these governments, they would be paying the same or less than what we pay.

you're not seeing the big picture, its not just gonna hit us at the pump. The price of grroceries are gonna jump, its gonna cost more to heat your home, consumer goods are all made using oil somewhere in the manufacturing process. This is gonna hit us all in the pocket whether you drive or not. I dont see my salary raising to cover these extra costs of living, so basically I'm taking home less than I was 2 years ago. All the rich fuckers are getting richer off this, while the working class gets fucked once again...

maybe we should start drilling more of OUR OWN OIL offshore and in ANWAR.

maybe we should give INCENTIVES and not more RESTRICTIONS and higher TAXES to oil companies to refine the crude, by aloowing them to build more fefineries.

maybe we should stop making 50 different blends for each part of the country. make one blend and thats it. if there is a shortage in caifornia, get some NY gas.

now i ask you what is more important a Porkupine Carabue (sp) or our wallets????

I see the big picture. Everything will raise in price, EVERYTHING.
ALL I can do is work harder and make more, to nullify this, that is all I am saying.

I used to be on a salary back in the days, so I know how an inflation in prices can mess up your persoanl accounting. It's not going to get your BROKE, you just wont be able to have that little extra cash to spend on whatever your spend extra cash on.

shut the fuck up and be happy?

damn u sound like a government official....maybe your the one that needs to shut the fuck up, cuz like dude said.....i aint gettin no raise cover everything thats getting jacked up in price. so myself and everyone else has every right to complain about getting punked in the ass....

fact of the matter is....nothin gets done in this country without us everyday working ppl....

in a different perspective, TO SURVIVE in this shithole country u gotta work....
i dont know about you but 90% of ppl NEED to use the car to get to work to put food on the table.
jackin up the price on somthing thats NEEDED to keep this country running....GAS should not be inflated like it is right now....

as far as it being a raised in price for a month.....they said that they have no idea when the prices will drop they said for sure it would be that way untill new orleans is totally recoverd...

therefore maybe you should shut the fuck up. maybe?

Maybe you should get a higher education and get a raise, and stop penny pinching an extra 10 bucks at the pump.

Fork up the cash. If you can't afford it, tough f'in luck man.

I don't know anything about your education.
I do know that you are working a salary position, and from what you say, does not leave fluff room for rising gas prices.

10 bucks does add up everytime. To what though? An extra 50 bucks a month?

People are making a bigger deal than it really is.

I do see what is happening, but I can't do anything about it. It's not like I enjoy paying more, I jut have no choice. When I have no choice over something, I roll with it, becuase there is nothing I can do about it.
