gang bangin poetry was some of the best shit to come out of sac . Gangsta dre on blocstar? sounds good to me
Not the right production for him IMO. Hope he gets back on track tho one of my fav artist from sac.

Here comes the night, Inner city poet, Creative differences is crazy, shit all his albums except for Stand and deliver, that album was kinda disappointing to me.

this track is in heavy rotation for me right now. Gangsta Dre - What a tangled web we weave - Inner city poet album

I have to agree. GD, Luni, & Lynch were my favorite rappers for years. I never really did like Gang Banging Poetry though.

IMO ...his CDs go in this order...

Here Comes The Night
Inner City Poet (has some seriously dope ass songs but about half the CD is weak as fuck with too many bitch songs)
Creative Differences (shit knocks non-stop but I like the stand out songs on ICP more than anything on here, well maybe not Burgundy Day)
Stand & Deliver. Dope as fuck spits and a few good songs but the beats really make the CD hard to listen to.
Gang Banging Poetry (GD's flow was amateurish at the time and the beats weren't all that great)

Gangsta Dre WAS one of the hardest to ever do it out of Sac.

But make no mistake - I'm not trying to listen to a cracked out dude who has obviously fell out of touch with making music. That shit sounds bad just thinking about it.

Some people need to realize that people are not capable of making the same quality they did damn near 20 years ago.

And spare me the "time's change and you just want someone to make the same shit they did years ago"

No.

I just want people to make quality music that transcends the other shit that being is put out. And everyone from Lynch, to C-Bo, to Hollow, to even X, have yet to put anything out that make them stand out from Rapper X and Rapper Y. Their shit is flat out boring these days. And its not cuz I am stuck in '96, its cuz they dont make quality or interesting music. Period. I will give X a pass cuz that dude is limited in how he makes music.

Gangsta Dre - hope you get healthy and lay the glass dick down. But dont let these people on here hype you up, no one wants to hear your music with where you are at in life right now.

It seem like every 6 months somebody be askin where gd at.. dude broke smokin meth.. u ain't gon hear from him.. damn shame what that glass do
All this speculating is comedy. What is this? An NA meeting? dumb asses.............

Long story short, my fam did a cut with Hollowtip recently, and asked him about G Dre. He says that he ran into him and tried to get him to do a feature on a song. To which G Dre basically said he had given up rap, and gave his life to God.

haha damn, just like T-Tay.

I'm surprised some people here felt Gang Bangin' Poetry was weak or his worst album. GBP is an awesome album and very much a classic to me.

Funny too how I picked it up just based on the cover and artists name (before I even knew who GD was). After I grabbed it I was so surprised how good an album it was and had no clue how I'd never heard of the guy. Looking back it was a really cool experience picking up a classic album like that without anyone tipping me off on GD.
